Re: success moving start and finish markers

2009-08-22 Thread robert Doc Wright
the other thing to be aware of is that shift up arrow decreases the lengths
of the marker movements and shift down arrow increases. Also, you can press
shift e, tab to the start marker or finish marker and chage the figure by
moving the up or down arrows. Down moves back and up moves forward.

Well, it seems every time I ask a question on here, I end up figuring
it ut soon after. I just had to change a few things in the play tab to fix
this problem. Thanks for your suggestions. Joe.

Hello everyone,

Once again, a packed, varied and interesting Innovations this week.
We start off with a tiny segment referring back to the Cobolt Colour

so popular.
We move on to an extensive review by Jorgen Hansson of the edirol R09HR -
an amazing high end recorder.
We round things up with a short and fascinating lesson from Chrissie about
the history of audio.
All this and more on Innovations, only on The Global Voice

There are quite a few repeats throughout the week, which you will find on
our schedule, and the program will also be available from our program

scottish football streams

2009-08-22 Thread kev lyon
hi all, in previous seasons, to listen to the scottish premier league soccer
games, it was easy. hit enter on the link, and the usal iplayer window opened,
witha link also to use the stand alone real player if you wanted. you could
get hold of the URL used for each team and paste those into real AV to record
in the background.
this season they have changed it all and the link you hit enter on, just brings
up a normal web page with an embedded flash player. is there a way of getting
hold of the URL of the audio so i can use real AV as before? because all teams
games are broadcast, so you can pick which one you want, each team has it's
own URL. the site address to start on is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/scotland/

on that page are a list of each fixtures, just hit enter on a game and the
flash player opens on the next page.
i'm not sure if anyone can help here as it does say games are only available to
those in the UK.

I use the imic to record from any external source right into GW via a usb
port. Very easy. One important thing is to make certain that you have the
turntable grounded with that additional wire. Otherwise you might get lots

RE: can I record from my turntable using GoldWave?

2009-08-22 Thread Peter Alan Smith
Make sure all of your devices are set to the right device settings in GW.
You can do this by hitting F11 and going through all the tabs. If it isn't
responding, go into your control panel and look at your sounds settings.
Then it's pretty much play and record via control F9. I would set a short
test file to record into at first. Have you recorded anything before on GW?
If not, I strongly suggest you go to Rick Harmon's web site and listen to
the tutorials he has there. They are very, very useful. There are some very
necessary things you should do before recording. Some are trial and error,
but it's best to listen to the tutorials and follow along:

Cheers,
Peter

I installed Infrarecorder, and have successfully burned a data disk. I
can't burn an audio CD, however. I have 5 .wav files that I want to make
into an audio CD, and I go through all the steps including burn
 compilation
to disk, but, when pressing OK, the CD simply ejects with a message Write
Buffer - OK or Cancel. This may be my TsstCorp sh-s23 drive, but I
 thought
I should ask if any Infrarecorder user has successfully made an audio cd
from .wav files before I abandon the program. All suggestions gratefully
 received.

good inexpensive microphone

2009-08-22 Thread Joe
Hi. I'm looking for a good natural sounding mic with good gain. Any audio files
out there that can recommend one. I don't want to spend to much Just want one
that plugs directly in to the PC's jack. I had a lab tech that sounded great
but the cord went bad. I'd like to keep the price at no more than $40. The lab
tech I had only cost about six dollars. It was a head set mic. Seems like alot
of the mics either don't have the gain or low end response and are to crisp on
the highs.
Thanks, Joe.
