I finally was able to get your report, and it works fine. I guess I was
just missing a step in the process.

You'll see 2 buttons when you go to the link, high speed download and
regular download, use regular download if you don't have a sendspace
account.

Hi Dane. This sounds good, but I can't get the file from Sendspace. It
says that I have to download their Sendspace tool.

Hi!

IEpisode 1 of the Airport Express review has been submitted to Blind
Cool Tech, if you want a preview then download the podcast episode from
http://www.sendspace.com/file/q3xz9m
In this first episode I discuss the Airport Express unit itself and
transmit an Itunes music playlist from a computer running Itunes in my
back room to my Hi-Fi setup in my lounge. In Episode 2 I deal with
simulation of Airport Express using a computer, hijacking other audio
sources to transmit to an Airport Express etc.

Enjoy!

Re: Windows 7 - how to question continued

2010-09-14 Thread David Bailes
Hi Brett,

it sounds like the audio driver after the reinstall isn't the same one that was
there prior to the reinstall. You may be able to download an audio driver for
your laptopĀ from the dell website, or it may be easier to contact dell's tech
support.

David.

Hi. Great tips but here is my problem: I had to do a windows 7 reinstall on my
dell pc a few weeks ago. After I did that I don't see any other inputs on the
speakers properties lels tab. I used to see this. So now when I read comercials
for the radio station I can either

a have no sound and hope for the best when I play back. b Check the listen to
option on my microphone and try to read with a delay which is very hard.

I seem to have just a regular onboard sound that came with this new dell. Any
help would be apreciated. bb

how can you find bit rate info

2010-09-14 Thread Joanne
I am trying to rip a CD using Media Player 11, and I'm not finding where, in
options, it lets you set your bit rate like you used to be able to do. So I
ripped one in MP3 instead of their default WMA, just to see if there's a sound
difference. But I can't find bit rate info even in properties of the song. I
just wondered how to find this out, and no the status line won't read this
particular CD's info either. And if someone knows how to navigate Media
Player's options, how do I make sure my MP3 bit rate is at the very least 128
kbps? Thanks.

Re: how can you find bit rate info

2010-09-14 Thread John Melia
okay here you go tap through the various links and look for rip menu you see
a setting for rip button but the next should rip menu enter on that and you
will see bit rate as one of your choices now enter on that and you will see
a list of different bit rates look for the check one. if you want to change
it enter on the choice you want.
now put your pc curser over a song use your application key and when you
find properties enter on it it look for the summery page and use the curser
and read down look near the bottom and you will see what bit rate the song
was ripped at.
