Zoom H2

2010-11-27 Thread Jani Kinnunen

Hi,

Does someone have a menu map for the Zoom H2 recorder? I'm thinking of
purchasing an H2, and a description of the menus would help me a lot in
using the recorder without sighted assistance.

Thanks in advance,

Jani

Apple TV

2010-11-27 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi!

One of the things I'm very much looking forward to this week is the arrival of
my Apple TV, I'm sure others will write pieces on this multi media device in
due course along with myself, I'll be making reference to it often on my
TTwitter and I'll be doing various reviews of it on my blog.

In short this device which is around 3 inches square allows the streaming of
media from Itunes computers or other compatible devices on your network,
Youtunes videos, Netflicks, etc to your TV or an audio device through the
Optical digital or HDMI connections on the device, you control what you hear
with a remote control, not unlike that which used to come as standard with the
Apple Imac and Macbook computers.

Apple TV now supports accessibility through Voiceover so - once set up - a
blind person can browse their media library and so on deciding what to hear.

Hi Dane,

I'm not a big TV buff or VCR or DVD user, so I'm not sure if I'd really want
one of these. However, I am a tremendous music lover, and might someday
consider it for sending music from the computer to the stereo. So, I will
be anxious to hear more about it from you.

Kris

I would like to try the Apple TV now that it is accessible, but at the
moment I don't have anything with either an optical or an HDMI input. Time
to check those big sales again, I guess!

no reason why a music lover couldn't get enjoyment out of an Apple TV for the
reasons you outlined, streaming music is my primary concern too! and the Apple
TV has an optical digital connection, just perfect for the connection to a good
stereo amp or digital processor.

what does this prompt mean? Windows media player cannot play the file?

2010-11-27 Thread Vinny Samarco

Hi,
when I go to certain broadcast sites like The bill sparks site, or the
blind radio site, after entering the call letters of the station I want to
hear, I get the Windows media player cannot play the file, prompt.
A friend of mine and I were online and he was showing me how to use
blindradio.com to get radio station ched in Edmonton alberta Canada.
He could get the station, while I got the windows media prompt. Is there
something wrong with my settings?

Thanks for your help.
Vinny
