Re: disk burning software

2011-01-28 Thread jason
Oh I don't know if Nero could break the tracks into devisions you would
an tool such as mp3 direct cut or goldwave which I am not sure how to
spit mp3's with, but I know how to murge files by using file murger,
however I am just learning goldwave.

Thanks Jason. What you suggest sounds good, but most of the files I wish to
burn require divisions into tracks. Can this be done with one of the options?

You said that Nero should work. I have the version for Windows 7 and that
version appears to be inaccessible. I can't find an earlier version. Even
then, can start IDS be added to my files?

No you don't actually windows7 has been accessible for me what you do is
put in the cd then a window should pop up and say how do you want to
burn this disc with windows explorer or windows dvd maker, well you
choose windows explorer then a edit box comes up with what the wizzard
should think what the cd should be called, erase what is in the edit box
and title your disc then hit enter after it asks you what do you want
to use this disc as a USB flash or a cd for playing cd players choose
the second use it for cd's check box checked then hit enter then a list
view should come up alt tab to the folder you want to burn to the disc,
then use up and down arrows on the folder to select the folder, and then
hit your applications key and arrow up until you here send to hit right
arrow on that menu and then arrow down until you here send to dvd drive
hit enter on then and now alt tab back to the dvd drive hit your alt key
it should say menu bar arrow up until you here burn to disc hit enter on
that and a window should appear asking you do you want to burn a data
disc or audio disc choose one of those options by hitting right left or
up and down arrows and then tab to it says next button and then it
should start burning on the disc there are also options to tell the
wizard what to do before burning the material to your disc hope this
helps you, if this doesn't work then get nero and it should work for you.

Hello List Members,

My name is Joe Giovanelli and have just joined your list. I've been using
computers to assist me with MIDI projects since the early '90's. This includes
putting my work onto COULDS.

I have a problem in this regard: My new laptop has Windows 7 as its OS. I
need disk-burning software which works properly with that OS.

Just about all my projects require "disk-at-once" recording. For this reason I
need a program which provides a means for adding start IDS to my wavefiles. COULDRWIN
doesn't work. CD ARCHITECT is in accessible as is true of the latest version of Nero.

I'd appreciate any thoughtts you have about this. Thank you very much for
reading this.

Re: More Winamp Questions

2011-01-28 Thread Larry Higgins
And why can't these messages include an option to download the update
directly, rather than having to slog through a crowded Web page
looking for it.

Hello Steve and list: Well the frustrating thing for me, concerning
the Winamp update notification is this: whenever I've gotten the
notification, the computer then won't let you do anything; it's like
it locks up; you can't make it go away! So you're
stuck! Therefore, at least with the newer versions of Winamp, I
have to make sure those notifications are turned off; the only other
way around it is to restart the computer!

Regarding the Winamp update messages whether they're annoying or not
varies greatly depending on your point of view (smile). I absolutely
love keeping up with the very latest software in most cases so I'm eager
to keep up with the latest version of Winamp so for me any update
messages from software are always helpful and very welcome. Of course
the other solution to stop these messages is to install the latest
version once you get the update message.

can no longer play my purchased DRM Wal-Mart files

2011-01-28 Thread Joanne
Of course we no longer have to deal with this DRM stuff, but I had purchased
many albums when Wal-Mart was just about the only option I had for buying
albums and downloading them into computer. All of a sudden, not one of my
albums plays, and Jaws really doesn't even say something to the effect of go to
this place to re-download the license. How can I get these to play again?
Thanks for your help.

Re: hotkey for getting file lingth of a selected bit of soundinsoundforge

2011-01-28 Thread dan thompson
Thank you Barry , I have been taking the selected sound, saving it into a
new blank file, saving it, and checking it's duration by going to where it
is saved and highlighting it. Then if it is not the needed size, I delete
the small file and create it again once changing the size. A bit time
consuming indeed. But I am going to try your idea, it is less steps.
Thanks again.

I don't know of such a hot key, but it would be useful. One somewhat
clumsy work around which I use is to select a sample, then go
to time stretch with alt+p followed by t. Tab to initial time and it will
show the length of the selection. You can then escape

without actually doing a time stretch.

try www.americanmusical.com
some of the more pricier stuff may have easy pay which allows you to pay in
monthly installments. the good thing is that they send you the product
when they get the first payment.

I have ordered a Behringer mixer, and I'm still waiting on it. I have used
one of these for about six and a half years. I will say this though. You
may have to wait awhile until you can get one. I usually order through
BSW, and they have them on back order at this point. I've been waiting for
a month now. I like Behringer mixers, because they're small, and light
weight, and mobile. That's helpful, if you ever have to carry it
somewhere. HOpe this helps!

Hi all:
Just wondering if you guys could recommend
any good mixers.

I've heard of the Mackie Onyx 820I ,
but that's a bit towards the high end.

Do you think I'm better off saving up for, and getting a Mackie Onyx
820I or is

there any good one that would work
for podcasting/music production on a lower level price?

I don't want to spend more
mony then I have to on a mixer,
but at the same time
I want to make sure I don't buy a piece of junk.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jorge
