Hi Jim and all,
I don't know much about bluray ripping, but there's a program called AutoMkv
that can help you to rip a dvd into mkv format. For demuxing streams from a
bluray a command line software called eac3to should do the job.

It's that time again, and I thought I would post the below link for those
who want to find out how to access March Madness games, both video and audio

video stream access for all 67 NCAA tournament games. Lots of apps
available for smart phones as well. Check it out at

JBL Onbeat Air and a big thanks!

2012-03-06 Thread Dane Trethowan
Hi everyone and a huge THANKS! to those list members who provided invaluable
information regarding my new JBL "Onbeat Air" speaker system I purchased and
wrote about on the list 2 days ago.

You do not need sighted assistance to connect this system to your Wi-Fi network
for "Airplay" functionality however you do require a little patience in order
to connect the speaker and then tweak the device to your preferred network
settings, the latter is an option for personal preference .

Yes indeed, the "Onbeat Air" is one of those devices which contains its own
Wi-Fi network so the trick is to get your computer and so on to join the
"Onbeat Air" network in order to configure the speakers to connect to your home
network.

Once that's done? Well.. go play your music! .

Again, a huge thanks to those list members who were able to help out with
documentation and tips.

I had used Replay AV, and still do for some shows I just want before the
podcast comes out. I just wish that they would update it so I can record

the machine and recorded it as if it were a localhost link. The big thing I
miss on the weekend is the Oprey that they really cut down how much they
broadcast, but 90 minutes on Friday and Saturday is still better than them

Extractor. It worked a treat!
The entire DVD played fine with absolutely no problems!
So my recommendation for a fully accessible, easy to use DVD player,
which
also happens to extract audio, is DVD Audio Extractor, www.castudio.org.
Unless there is another similar DVD player out there that is just as
fully
accessible and easy to use, I might consider purchasing the program!
Hope you like my recommendation, and happy viewing!

Hello all.
Well, I cannot highly recommend the program listed in the subject
enough!

Here was my scenario.
I wanted to watch a DVD, Toy Story 3, on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop. The
DVD
has audio description. Anyway, I tried playing it with Media Player
Classic
Home Cinema, a DVD and general media player that comes with the Combined
Community Codec pack. Well I couldn't get as far as the menu could I!
Plus,
the menu system of the application completely disappeared! So next I
tried
VLC Media Player. This was slightly better in that I could get at least
the
first chapter of the DVD played. But when it moved onto the next chapter
it
repeated the first one! So finally, I tried to play it with DVD Audio
Extractor. It worked a treat!
The entire DVD played fine with absolutely no problems!

Re: dvd blueray creating mkv files

2012-03-06 Thread Gianluca Apollaro

Hi Jim and all,
I don't know much about bluray ripping, but there's a program called
AutoMkv that can help you to rip a dvd into mkv format. For demuxing
streams from a bluray a command line software called eac3to should do
the job.

hth,
best regards,

Subject: DVD Audio Extractor

Hello all.
Well, I cannot highly recommend the program listed in the subject
enough! Here was my scenario.
I wanted to watch a DVD, Toy Story 3, on my Windows 7 64 bit laptop. The
DVD has audio description. Anyway, I tried playing it with Media Player
Classic Home Cinema, a DVD and general media player that comes with the
Combined Community Codec pack. Well I couldn't get as far as the menu
could I! Plus, the menu system of the application completely
disappeared! So next I tried VLC Media Player. This was slightly better
in that I could get at least the first chapter of the DVD played. But
when it moved onto the next chapter it repeated the first one! So
finally, I tried to play it with DVD Audio Extractor. It worked a treat!
The entire DVD played fine with absolutely no problems!
So my recommendation for a fully accessible, easy to use DVD player,
which also happens to extract audio, is DVD Audio Extractor,
www.castudio.org. Unless there is another similar DVD player out there
that is just as fully accessible and easy to use, I might consider
purchasing the program!
Hope you like my recommendation, and happy viewing!
