RE: I'm new to this list, and I have some Sound Forge questions.
Hi Steve, All of this stuff is so crazy. I used Jaws 14 tonight instead of Jaws 15 with Sound Forge 11 and Jim Snhowberger's scripts, and the editing worked a little better, but I still had to keep bringing it back to the spot that I wanted to edit because when I would use the number arrow keys, it wanted to bring me right back to the front of the file. It took me almost two hours to edit a job which probably should have only taken a half hour because it wasn't that big of a job. So right now, I hate all of this. But I do think you are right. The sound quality is no different in Sound Forge 11 Pro. Thanks and that is interesting. I've had some unpredictability when trying to select audio, but it seemed as though I had the same problems with both 10 and 11. I didn't remember having the problem with the version I had before that, but as said elsewhere, I think that may have been version 6. Also, I am using Window-Eyes, but I wouldn't think the screen reader would have an effect on the issues you mentioned. Thanks for explaining. Does MP3 Tag work with Windows 8.1? If so, how do you install it, and if not, what is a good program to rename files from mp3 tags?
Hi. Until last week I was a happy user of Mp3 Tag. My Windows 7 laptop decided to no longer work, and I got a new laptop with Windows 8.1 on it. I tried to install Mp3 Tag onto it, but I got a message that my PC didn't meet the minimum requirements. If this program does work on Windows 8.1, where do I get it and how do I install it? If it doesn't work, can someone recommend a program to rename files from the mp3 tags? Thanks in advance for any ideas. Kevin Minor, Lexington, KY

Well, since I am still the old novice, that I have always been, doing what you are talking about to create the scripts, myself, will be something that I won't do, until I get the Swiss cheese problems, out of my knowledge curve, with JAWS ! RE: Backing up keyboard shortcuts in Foobar2000
Upon further research, it seems they are stored in a .cfg file which is not human readable, it is binary. This file also contains other information relating to Foobar. So in the end, I created jaws scripts with keyboard shortcuts instead, to control the functions of Foobar from any application, volume, next/previous track, and all the things you would expect. This works much better. Re: CDEx Question
Good Morning Walter Done that and it worked up to a point. For another disc it's just fine but for this one it seems it's not on the database so no details are forthcoming. I'll have to look at MP3Tag I think it is and see what that can do for me or, if all else fails, type the name and artist of each track individually. 3 disc of around 24 tracks each. Keep me out of mischief for a while. LOL However many thanks for your help. I said to launch CDEX and press F4 and then shift tab, I made a mistake, you have to control tab twice. When you press F4 you do land on the encoding tab but if you do a control and tab twice you should get there. I'm using version 1.51 and if I have a copy here I can send it. If I get a chance in the next few days I'll try and get hold of 1.70 and compare it with 1.51. Sorry if I confused you in my original reply.
