RE: SV: apple music streaming service with iTunes?
Yes, I use ITunes on my PC and stream albums, playlists, and their radio stations that are comprised of music that either I have indicated wanting to listen to or what ITunes thinks I might like to listen to. Actually, I don't really remember how I set it up. I used my IPod Touch to do most of it think... I go to the For You radio button, for example, check it, tab to another spot and a list of albums and playlists appear based upon what ITunes feels I am interested in listening to. Or, I do a search for specific albums or artists. RE: How accessible is spotify?
Sunshine -- The JAWS scripts work with the Spotify software application. I tried them a year ago and for me they were not that useable on my machine. They seem to work for some Ok and others not so ok. The guy that developed the scripts was updating them as late as a month ago. He seems very willing to work with folks to get his scripts to work with JAWS and Spotify. At least that was the impression that I got from the list he has for those scripts. Hopefully, he's not really discriminating against everyone named Christopher just because of his feelings towards me. I don't feel myself to be a pretend list cop. I've merely pointed out what is clearly stated in the info for this list and provided my opinions, with explanations, on where I think this list should go. I've provided links to other sources of information and other lists, when I've known about them, and when I thought someone could get more accurate and timely information elsewhere. I worked hard to make my statements tactful and polite and free from rudeness or criticism. I've tried to be nothing but supportive of the moderator and even help out where I could. In fact, I think both Tom's and Steve's messages were in support of my statements and efforts, although maybe I misread those messages, but I suspect it's rather a case of we're all in more agreement with one another than maybe we realize. I also think Dane is being a bit hypocritical in this situation. Several times he's made bold and unequivocal statements on what is and isn't on topic for this list, which smacks of wanting to be a moderator to me. He's complained that others are rude and making the INTERNET a less friendly place, and yet he posts a message like the one below. IMHO, I think we should move on and let Tom's statement speak for itself. We all seem to be in agreement that it's Tom's list to moderate as he sees fit. Anyway back to the subject in hand, this list has a wide scope of messages on it at anyone time and some of these threads do start off on the right subject but can lead to others which aren't appropriate for the list perhaps? Well in such cases I reckon that good moderation dictates that at least a list member or 2 can point a person to another list or group which can deal with a subject more efficiently, an example of this sort of thing might be playing music on a mobile phone, its easy to start talking then about accessibility with speech which can probably be handled better on a list which is dedicated to mobile phone accessibility so the least that can be done to try and be helpful to all concern is for someone to post details of that list.
