RE: SV: apple music streaming service with iTunes?

2016-03-14 Thread Charlie Murphy
Yes, I use ITunes on my PC and stream albums, playlists, and their radio
stations that are comprised of music that either I have indicated wanting to
listen to or what ITunes thinks I might like to listen to.

Actually, I don't really remember how I set it up. I used my IPod Touch to do
most of it think...

I go to the For You radio button, for example, check it, tab to another spot
and a list of albums and playlists appear based upon what ITunes feels I am
interested in listening to. Or, I do a search for specific albums or artists.

I don't have this phone, but I'd be curious how it works to integrate with a
phone call coming in on a land-line to the cordless hand-set, then handed
off to a mobile phone of the Android or IOS variety, which has a totally
different phone number.

I know you are supposing that this will work via bluetooth, but it seems
rather strange to me, and unless there is some sort of means of remotely
answering, i.e. the cordless unit rings halfway across the house, and you
can't get there, but you have your mobile phone on you and can thus answer
that call, I don't see the point.

Sunshine -- The JAWS scripts work with the Spotify software application. I
tried them a year ago and for me they were not that useable on my machine.
They seem to work for some Ok and others not so ok. The guy that developed
the scripts was updating them as late as a month ago. He seems very willing
to work with folks to get his scripts to work with JAWS and Spotify. At
least that was the impression that I got from the list he has for those
scripts.

I have an IPod and the Spotify app works well on that device, so I never
pursued the JAWS scripts any further.

 Hi Christopher,
This is what I use. It is a stand alone youtube to mp3 converter.

 Free YouTube to MP3 Converter
 Version 3.11.34.1015
 *I. Obtaining the file:
 1. Go to the site below.
 http://dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-YouTube-To-MP3-Converter.htm

 2. If using a screenreader, press the letter h until reaching the
 heading
 of:
 Free YouTube to MP3 Converter
If using a mouse, locate the heading shown above for a land mark.

 3. If using a keyboard, arrow down five times. You will land on the
 link
 of:
 Download now
 Press enter on this link.

If using a mouse, locate the link mentioned above and click on it.

 4. The usual download prompt appears. If using a keyboard, Press alt
plus the letter s for save.
If using a mouse, click on save.

 5. You can press alt plus s again to start the download.
The file will probably be put in documents, downloads if using
Windows seven. If using Xp, it will probably go to my documents,
downloads.
 One
can also navigate to a location where to download this file.

  6. Once the file is finished downloading, locate it and click or
 press enter.

 *II. Instalation Directions:
 1. After activating the exe file mentioned above, you will probably be
asked to open or run this file.
If using a keyboard, Press alt plus the letter r.
If using a mouse, click on run.
 2. You are asked to select a language. It is probably on the correct one.
If in the US, english is selected. If in another country, I can not
speak to that situation. I would think the program is set to select
language in the country it was downloaded.
Simply tab to okay andpress the spacebar.
 3. From the keyboard, press alt plus n for next.
Click on next with the mouse.

 4. From the keyboard, tab once and arrow up once to I accept the

Click on next with the mouse.

 6. From the keyboard, press alt plus n.
If using a mouse, click on next. This choice is asking where to
install the program. So leave the default.

 7. From the keyboard, tab across and uncheck the three checkboxes by
 pressing the spacebar.
If using a mouse, uncheck all three checkboxes.
 8. Press alt plus the letter n or click on next.

 9. The next tool bar is up to the user. It says, download and convert
faster. I chose yes. So tab across and make your choice.

 10. Tab to the checkbox and uncheck it by pressing the spacebar.
 11. Press alt plus n or click on next.

 12. Press alt plus the letter n or click on next again.

 13. You are asked to
select additional tasks. Tab across and make your choices You will
come to a vertical list of three checkboxes. I only left the add
free youtube converter icon to the desktop checked.
You can uncheck any of these by arrowing down to it and pressing the
spacebar. One can also take the check out of the box with a mouse.

 14. Press alt plus n or click on next.
 15. Press alt plus I or click on install.
 16. When the finished announcement appears, there are two options.
First is launch the second is finished.
If you wish to use the program now, tab to launch and press enter.
One can also click on launch with the mouse.
If you are finished for now, click on the finished button or tab to
 it and press enter.
In this example I am going to tab to launch and press enter.

I am now to get a song off of youtube.

 the program's window.

clipboard. In Windows seven, the song is put in to the music folder
and in Windows-xp it is placed into my documents in the my music

I placed my music folder on the desktop for ease of locating it.

Well, I'm sure I'm not one of the Christopher's Adrian is referring to,
but I'm sure I'm in that illustrious class of Christopher's Dane is
talking about. Hopefully, he's not really discriminating against
everyone named Christopher just because of his feelings towards me.

I don't feel myself to be a pretend list cop. I've merely pointed out
what is clearly stated in the info for this list and provided my
opinions, with explanations, on where I think this list should go. I've
provided links to other sources of information and other lists, when
I've known about them, and when I thought someone could get more
accurate and timely information elsewhere. I worked hard to make my
statements tactful and polite and free from rudeness or criticism. I've
tried to be nothing but supportive of the moderator and even help out
where I could. In fact, I think both Tom's and Steve's messages were in
support of my statements and efforts, although maybe I misread those
messages, but I suspect it's rather a case of we're all in more
agreement with one another than maybe we realize.

I also think Dane is being a bit hypocritical in this situation. Several
times he's made bold and unequivocal statements on what is and isn't on
topic for this list, which smacks of wanting to be a moderator to me.
He's complained that others are rude and making the INTERNET a less
friendly place, and yet he posts a message like the one below.

IMHO, I think we should move on and let Tom's statement speak for
itself. We all seem to be in agreement that it's Tom's list to moderate
as he sees fit.

The best statement I've heard yet so thanks Steve for posting.

As far as I'm concerned Mr Moderator, you're doing a damn good job at
moderation and thank you for posting to the list, I'd rather hear from
the

moderators themselves than pretend list cops, why is it that all the
Christopher's I know are an absolute pain in the behind to deal with
smile.

Anyway back to the subject in hand, this list has a wide scope of
messages

on it at anyone time and some of these threads do start off on the right
subject but can lead to others which aren't appropriate for the list
perhaps? Well in such cases I reckon that good moderation dictates that
at
least a list member or 2 can point a person to another list or group
which
can deal with a subject more efficiently, an example of this sort of
thing

might be playing music on a mobile phone, its easy to start talking then
about accessibility with speech which can probably be handled better on a
list which is dedicated to mobile phone accessibility so the least that
can
be done to try and be helpful to all concern is for someone to post
details

of that list.

Charlie, I don't think, that the Wifi Radio from Acoustic Energy is very
accessible. One cannot control it via a router. Other Wireless radios
allow that. However, the Wifi Radio seems to be the only RealAudio
capable one. Reciva based radios do not allow the user to just enter the
address of a stream. You can only use streams included in the Reciva
database, which is a very significant limitation IMHO. The Wireless
radios from Rokulabs or Teratec can play any MP3 stream on the net.

Re: Speech-friendly music download sites

2004-05-18 Thread Charlie
Thanks Norma and Paul for the scoop on Real Audio Store track format. I
saved a message a few months ago that describes the programs that can
convert a ra file eventually to an mp3. Does anyone know if these Real
Store tracks can be converted to mp3, or they somehow restricted/prevented?

Regards,
Charlie

At the Real Music Store, do the songs come down in a Real Audio format or as
an MP3??

Thanks,
