Re: Video Recording From Your PC, What's Next?
You all can't blame Microsoft; in Europe, it COULD NOT include a browser as part of Windows OS offerings, the Europeans say it CREATED a monopoly. To guard against continuous frivolous lawsuits, it's just better for each one of us to figure out what software to use in recording videos, hence the reason why Microsoft is probably doing away with the Windows Media Center. The company MAY BE TIRED of lawsuits and would rather stay above the fray if that helps the bottom line. RE: Express Talk VOIP Soft Phone
Magic Jack will actually work in Australia; however, you'd only be able to place calls to the U.S. and Canada. You get assigned a U.S. number. When calling the U.S., you'll dial your number as if you were calling within the United States! Example, to call someone on Area Code 212, if you live say in Chicago, you will dial 1-212; that is 1 for the country code, then area code and seven-digit phone number. Net Talk works similarly. Re: Flatbed scanner
Hello All: It would be great if there could be a handheld scanner; that way, I can move it down the page and get the scan necessary and may be scan a book a bit faster too. Presently, I'm trying to put a Canon all-in-one to the test; the ImageClass series will let me scan up to 50 pages at once! It will scan both sides of a page, but i do have to remove the cover of the book first. That's the bad part but ok I guess! It's ireless, I don't have to be tethered to the machine. Re: android phone with speech.
Yes, I am using one! The Galaxy S5, it rocks!! Please note that Android DOES NOT DO any handholding like the IOS does. You learn and experiment at your own pace. If you're coming to the Android platform from the iPhone side of things, the learning curve can be very, very different and there can be frustrations galore. However, if you are a self-starter, self-motivated person, you can do it. I never thought I could, but now I won't trade in my Android for anything else! Re: Logitech H800 Wireless Headset, First Impressions
Dane, you shouldn't need the nano USB dongle for purposes of pairing the H800 for use with a bluetooth device. Our boys steal mine time and time again for use with their comptuers and they never use the nano USB dongle. One of our boys once paired it with his Galaxy S3 phone in my office and never used the nano USB dongle. I believe the nano USB dongle is needed only when using the headset as a wireless device. I have not personally played with the bluetooth thingy, but, when my Nexus7 tablet arrives in a few weeks, I'll put it to the test. Re: Another Wireless Headset
Hello Dane: I have the headset under discussion. Battery lasts six hours. You can use it whilst it is being charged. Although I have not put it through all its paces, I really like this headset. You can truly plug it in and forget it. Sincerely, Olusegun Denver, Colorado --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast! Antivirus protection is active. http://www.avast.com

Re: Wireless Stereo Speakers recommendations Please?
Hi Vicky: Yes, I'd be interested in knowing what they sound like especially since one does not get a chance to test drive before buying. So, you're going to be my guinea pig as far as testing goes smile!! I want WALL-MOUNTED wireless speakers primarily because I will be using them at my retail store to provide music/entertainment so we all don't get too bored and fall asleep at work grin. Re: Wireless Stereo Speakers recommendations Please?
Hello Victoria: Check out a variety wireless speakers at: http://www.4homespeakers.com They seem to have some interesting wireless speakers' varieties. I am planning on picking one up for use at my retail store. The WES3200DUO has been recommended from a chat with someone in their tech support. Based on some descriptions I read, these speakers have a range of 150 feet to 300 feet. There are so many varieties to look at although, like Radio Shack, one can't really hear how they sound until one gets a chance to give them a test drive. Hope the above is somewhat helpful. Re: PROUD OWNER OF THE IMIC ... YIKES!! ... I CAN'T MAKE IT WORK, PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi Dane: Thanks for the hand holding. I think I am almost there, but do have one more question: The Imic I have does indeed have the USB connector; then it has a rather long cord, don't know exact measurement; this connects to what I am assuming is th speaker to which a one-eighth inch audio plug is connected and two females at the end. It does sem to have come with a CD-ROM, perhaps containing installation software which I may not need under Widnows XP. I suppose what I need to know is whether to connect the female plugs to a speaker; does the sound come out externally or would I need an earphone to hear its sound? Sorry, I may not have asked the question correctly, but hopefully I did come close to making sense. Looking forward to reading your helpful response!! Re: compact flash cards
Hi Everyone: I am also a proud owner of the Edirol R1. I got it from SameDayMusic which kindly included a FREE 256MB CompactFlash card as a bonus offer with my purchase. Now, does anyone have an accessible copy of this thingy's manual? I don't have access to a reader and can't learn to use this equipment as quickly as I need to. Getting ready for an overseas trip and I want to take it on the road! Second question: Can I attach a small portable speaker to the Edirol R1 so I can hear playback without using a headset or is that absolutely impossible? I have only 2-3 days left to learn how to use it, smile!! Joe, some popular CompactFlash cards are Lexar, Sandisk, and PNY. I have used them all and they are quite nice indeed. I don't know if they will deliver to Ireland, but try: www.memorysuppliers.com They have fairly good prices on this stuff! For anyone else wishing to purchase the Edirol R1 from SameDayMusic, they are based in New York, don't recall which city.
