Hi, with mine set to automatically query the remote CDDB when a disc is inserted if it finds no match it'll usually pop up and tell me no match found or give me options if there's more than one match it thinks is possible. If you're getting none of that I question whether it's connecting at all. have you changed anything significantly in terms of hardware, software security software settings between the time it last worked and now? Do you have a windows based system on which system restore is enabled could you try restoring the system to the time around which you'd last known the program to work properly? when you have one of these discs in the drive and CDEX is opened if you tap alt key for menu bar right arrow over to CDDB menu I believe it is and enter on read from remote database what result occurs? It doesn't do enhanced format but would for instance do format 4. Sonos Play:5 2nd Generation is accessible
Hi, I don’t post here often and hope this isn’t too much of a stretch but since it can be controlled by one’s pc should one wish perhaps it’ll be considered on topic. Either way I’ll keep it brief. When Sonos the manufacturer of a popular line of wireless music system announced that they’d be releasing a new version of their play:5 speaker including a touch panel there was some chatter on various lists and social media of blind people expressing concern regarding the accessibility of this platform going forward. I’m happy to report that every aspect of their commitment to universal design and accessibility seems to be in tact. Setting up the new play:5’s is just as easy as it ever had been before and even the touch panel on the top of the unit can be found, interacted upon to mute or pause audio and change volume settings with no tactile markings necessary. the unit emits mild unobtrusive tones to alert you that an action has taken place and which direction you might be swiping the volume controls. I’m very impressed and am pleased that my faith in their commitment has been aptly rewarded. I’m glad to have supported them with the power of my purchasing dollars once again. Hi, If you don't care if the time is accurate you can just hit the enter button and it'll get you past that screen and then someone can set up the time for you later unless you know how to approximate your way through it which I never mastered. but when changing batteries just hit the enter key and it'll accept whatever it thinks the current time is and let you go on your way. Yes, you can get BCT in Juice. Just copy the XML link into the directory box and it will subscribe. Remember though, that in Juice you might have to select any past episodes to record, or to block. SUDIO RECORDER FOR PC
HI, Earlier on this list, there ws a discussion of programs which you could use to record programs off the internet. One of the programs mentioned offered a timer feature. I can't recall which one. I just found a post for Replay AV, which has this feature,. What I am looking for is a free version of such a program. I thought one was mentioned, but can't find the message that described it. Replay AV seems to offer a free trial, but it limits the time you are able to record to 15 minutes. Everything I want to record is at least an hour long. Any suggestions? If you do both these things and it still doesn't work, you might try to uninstall and reinstall the drivers. I would be skeptical of the last option though, because XP uses pretty standard USB drivers. It has happened to me once though. I think the cable would be the most likely problem. If you don't have a spare USB Cable, try using the same cable with a different device. Why not turn your computer speakers up, so that the headset mic picks up the JFW? If your sound card has a master control mixer that can hear the mic in and the JFW audio, that might work too. look online for "virtual amp" plugins for your audio software. There are a bunch of them out there and they work with many software products. There is a free program called Audacity on SourceForge.org. IT has a menu item to slow speed. You might also consider a program called Tabledit. This program creates tablature files which can blew played as midi files at various speeds. There are a lot of tab files online already created by others. you will hear the output of whatever sound source you select within your recording device. Each software is a little differant, but basically that is the case. If you are tring to use two differant sound cards to avoid feedback, because you are recording through a mic, that won't work. (i mention this because I don't know why you'd need two differant sound cards). locating streams
Hello all, I have been using Replay AV for a couple of weeks now and am extremely satisfied with it. I am having one problem however. While listenning to streamed audio through Windows Media Player. I am unable to capture the stream automatically within Replay AV. Ibelieve the stream is coming through a flash version of the WM player. I have tried to directly record off the sound card, but my laptop won't find the audio even though I hear it. Does anyone know if there is a way I can manually locate the stream and input it into Replay AV? BTW, the primary source for my problems is MLB.COM. I dohave the subscription, but can't seem to get recordings from live or archived games. Try to save it as WAV and put it onto an audio CD. Then play that CD in a standalone player. That will tell you whether you have decent sound. BTW, the Higher the bit-rate of your original recording, the better the sound. Most commercial CDs are recorded at 44,000. It might be something as simple as your Winamp settings, but you won't know until you test. WellWinamp, so anything I might say would be a guess. I'll leave the next step to the rest of the list. I could only guess that winamp is playing the file at too high a volume, if it is distorted. If it just sounds "compressed," the MP3 bit rate might be too low in WInamp. I don't know how to check or change these things. HI, It looks to me like you are trying to record a proprietary stream. I don't this Replay AV can record that stream. I followed the link to Mac Users, and there are two other stream available. Look for a description for "If you prefer not to use the embedded streams." There you will find links to a Windows stream ending in .asx and a Real Audio link ending in .ram. I don't think Replay AV can interpret the Abcast stream. Did you try the other method I sent yesterday? Another thought, To record the sound card, make sure you have a "What U Hear" option selected as your audio recording method. And remember to convert it to an MP3.
