Yes Kathy gold wave will do what you want, it is fully functional for 3000
functions free, and then only a fraction of the cost of sound forge, It may
not be quite as good, but works.
it's available at:

Re: Wripping from Nero

2005-01-14 Thread ron scott
Hi, I'm wondering if it doesn't depend on when the CD was produced?
A friend of mine, recently put a CD\MP3 \radio in his truck, and he was
telling me that some CD's scroll the track name over a screen, and some
don't.
The way this came up, I had burnt him a CD of tracks I had on the hard
drive, and in folders with the titles, and he asked me how I got them to do
the scroll thing, I had to admit I didn't know anything about it LOL

Jim, interesting question, Had the same one myself for a long time.
The only thing I came up with was a tuning fork, then tune out the waves in

not as handy as a electronic, and not as easy, especially in a noisy place,

Re: Accessible Tuners

2005-01-30 Thread ron scott
Hi Mate, I would suggest , if the tuner is on a computer, even if it is
accessible, how practical is it?
If we are talking about going out to gig's,?Like you said in a earlier post,
a tuning fork fits in a pocket. LOL
If we are talking electric guitar, there is head phones, with a built in
amp, that will let you hear the guitar, I don't know to what volume, they
seem to be hard to find though, it's mostly steel players that seem to use
them at all but then sighted people can use those quick tune things that
either show a green light, or a red one, or if it's away off no light: or so
I am told. LOL
If anyone is interested, I can give them a couple of places to look for a
amp-head set.

When recording in gold wave, pause with control + f7,
then to continue, press, control + f7 again to continue.
Other wise, you have open a new sound window, and paste the second sound

Joe,
first press alt+E

then O

then enter

then shift+tab to "mark scielence

then tab through to O K

ON the way you might want to change the length of scilience to 1 rather than
1.5
and minimum distance to a little more than the default.
if gold wave won't add the q points, try using the "noise gate 3 " to make
sure there is no noise between the tracks. s

Hi there, one way of doing this, would be:
put the output of a stereo MP3 player, through a stereo mixer, and also your
mike, and the output of the mixer to the line in on the computer.
This way will let you keep the backup music, in stereo, and the mike can be
added to both sides, and also let you hear what you are singing to at the
same time.
This is not the only, or maybe not the best way, but it is one way to do
it. Hope this helps

on this list do.

Both are usable with jaws, and both can split files, also can clean up
records. remove a lot of the background noise and pops and clicks.

then I get the option to "create a CD" option, in Nero, then just I just go

Hi Morey, part of the answer might lay in the recording program you use.
If you are doing editing, gold wave, for example, only edits in wave files.
So noise reduction, pop and click removal, etc, has to be done in wave,
before converting to other formats.

Hi Terry, I suggest that whether your T V is stereo, or momo, has more to do
with the model, rather than the age.
I have a consol model, from the mid 80's that is stereo, and has a whole

It's possible that the coax between the splitter and the TV is causing the

for the line in should be there. It is only a one eight hole so might be
hard to feel. why there is three I'm not sure, unless there is one for each

If you have a wooden tooth pick it might be easier to check for the hole
than with your finger, and the tooth pick won't hurt anything, unless you
were to shove it away in the jack.
