RE: (blindo's inn) Digital Audio Recorders - Edirol R09HR vs Zoom H4N
Hi Danny I haven't owned either of these but would suggest that if you're happy with their sound quality you might as well get the Plextalk Pocket recorder which is about as good and completely accessible. Just my thought. Sorry, another nerdy conversation on the way. I'm looking to purchase a new audio recorder, and am stuck between the Edirol R09HR and the Zoom H4N. Both look good for different reasons (the Zoom looks particularly good as I understand you can use different microphones to record different channels with it), but I'm not sure about how accessible they are. If anybody has used either of these machines, I'd be grateful for any info on features or accessibility which they'd be happy to share. If somebody has used or tried both, a comparison would also be really appreciated. Thanks as always, Danny -- To unsubscribe, reply using "remove me" as the subject. Danny The bookport plus is the same hardware as the Plextalk Pocket. And it is probably the only accessible recorder on the market that really gives you full control of even the recording volume setting. I use an Edirol HR9, and although it's usable and somewhat accessible, it is certainly not as accessible as the Bookport Plus. Now that I have the Bookport Plus, I'm not sure I'll ever use the Edirol again. Check out reviews on blindcooltech.com--personally I have found the edirol more accessible--but friends say the other model sounds better.
