You will need to configure it with the sample and bit rate you want, the higher the better. You can fine it under input plugins under preferences. Hi, does anybody know if total recorder would record the speech files, or would it act like it normally does, and not record if it sees that a player is up, which is unfortunate. I forgot how to use say pad, it's been so long since I've used it, because I wanted to make the job of the u k audio network guy easier, but he suggested I read the things in my own voice, and seeing I have no braille display, I don't feel like brailling all the messages, and then reading them, so I thought I'd have one of the sapi voices do that, but that didn't go over. think its about 250 k. you may want to try splitting the text file in to 250 k junks and seeing if that does the trick. Just wanted to comment on this plugin. i've tried it and it actually works pretty good. It is an imput plugin so the first thing you will want to do is once installed bring up the preferences and then configure it for the speech you will want to use. It seems from what i can tell to use sapi4 and I also have a few other voices here and it seems to work with them. You can adjust the rate but not the pitch. Once you have it adjusted just type l in winamp and locate the text you'd like to read and it will read it for you using the standard winamp keys.
