like the way the left and right arrow keys now move you through your file.
I like the added marker movements such as control + Shift end to move the

moved the finish marker and want it back out to the end of file.

I need to get on the ball and get a part 7 done that addresses the newest

RE: GoldWave Information Needed

2008-03-30 Thread Dan Kerstetter
I've installed 5.23 along with the scripts.

I've set everything up according to your latest tutorial, rick, and I still
have one question.

When I go to make a new recording, a dialog comes up and doesn't stay open
long enough for me to look or make any changes.

How can I eliminate this problem.

Thanks.

What are the good features that one might find in GoldWave that Sound Forge

I haven't used the new features enough sadly to give any useful info. I do
like the way the left and right arrow keys now move you through your file.
I like the added marker movements such as control + Shift end to move the
finish marker to the end of the file. Useful when your editing and have
moved the finish marker and want it back out to the end of file.

I need to get on the ball and get a part 7 done that addresses the newest
 features of GW.

Probably few, except that over the last little while, the designer of Gold
Wave has become quite accessibility-conscious, so has worked to make an

I think the very best thing about recent versions of GW is the control g go
to time feature, which tells you where you are in the sound clip and lets
you specify exactly where to go to.

Just my two cents.

2008-03-30 Thread Ray's Home
Can't add much to this as I'm not a Goldwave user at present.

The obvious difference now between the latest version, nine, of Sound
Forge and GW is that SF is now a multichannel recorder. Note,
multi-channel, not multi-track.

Some swear by SN's noise reduction, but then I've not made the
comparison with Goldwave.

It's the recording source options. You can turn the dialog off in the

you don't have to change the quality you need to only set it once.

it is easy to record DVD's from TV,cable or satellite. you can also record from a VCR
or Camcorder.
but I think the easiest is the TV,
The reason is, you can press the source button untill you hear the sound of the TV.
then tune to the channel you want and hit the
record button.
You will need help with editing formatting or deleteing. It is not too accessible, but
you may be able to use it after you get the
hang of it.
I have the GateWay AR-230 it plays most all DVD's CD-r-RW, mp3, but only records to
DVD+R +RW which should play in your DVD Rom
in your PC.
