Re: Making a play list
Hi, If you have the windows power toy called send to, that makes the entire process considerably easier. Simply open a file in note pad. Select the file in question, press context menu, select send to, and then you'll have clipboard as content and clipboard as name. Choose the as name option, press enter, and then the name of the file, including full path name, is in the clipboard. Alt tab to your open notepad document, and press control v and then a space. Boom, the file is now in the playlist. repeat until completed. nope, if you're in windows explorer. In other words, when you're just looking at the files in a folder, right click the file, and sellect equeue in. Were you aware that in winamp you can go to the play list and press control+shift+delete and delete the currant list? Also, I create my play llists in this same window If I only want to hear particular folders I press shift+l and choose the folder I want to listen to I repeat this same step to add any other folders. Hi Dana, No, not right offthe top of my head. I was going on memorey, and then remembered I had the same problem, so I just wrote a batch file to delete the WinAmp .m3u file. It' created again, when you open the program the next time. There may be a setting in preferences, but I have had a chance to look yet. R Q J - Original Message - From: "Dana S. Sly, If you highlight a file of a type Winamp recognizes, click on the Files menu. Enqueue in Winamp should be the second option down. It should also be the second option down in the context menu that opens if you right click, instead. Blessed Be, Dana that's Dayna, D A N A, NOT Donna, D O N N A D. S. Leslie, née C. R. Re: Making a play list
You can, in winamp, hit ccontrol l, sellect the folder you want, and press enter. If it's multiple files in multiple folders, just go to them in windows explorer, right click the file, and hit e for enqueue file in winamp. Re: Making a play list
The simplest way I have found to make a playlist, if you have WinAmp, justt go to the list of songs, and select the ones you want, and encue them in Winamp. This puts all the necessary imformation in the playlist automatically. Now you can go to the WinAmp folder, and select WinAmp.m3u, copy it place it where you want, and then rename it, leaving the m3u extension. Alternatively, you can just play songs in WinAmp, and it will make a playlist, which you can do with the same as above. Making a play list
I would like to know how to set up play lists for MP3 files I have on my hard drive. I use Windows XP pro and Real Player although I would be willing to use Windows Media Player. I presume I could use some feature in Real Player but I don't set up my MP3 files in the Real Player library. Is there a way outside of Real Player to do this? Thanks.
