RE: Creative zen 16GB drive
Hi Clifford, It doesn't work quite like that on this drive. I'm still working on it, and will post to the list how I got it to work. I wish it was as easy as you said, but for some strange reason they made this one a little more complex as far as how the computer works with it. Thanks much, Tim Martin -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Blackwell, Clifford Sent: Monday, August 11, 2008 8:04 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: RE: Creative zen 16GB drive I just bought the 4 gb model of this player for my wife. All I had to do was plug it in and wait for the thing to be recognised. When it's recognised, and you open the drive in explorer, you'll find a folder called "storage or something like that. Open that folder and you'll find Music, Recordings, Pictures, etc. Open the one you want and then copy and past contents into the folder. I haven't tried adding things on an external memory card though. Does it use, standard sd or mini or micro sd cards? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Tim Martin Sent: Saturday, August 09, 2008 12:47 PM To: 'PC Audio Discussion List' Subject: Creative zen 16GB drive Hi all, Has anyone gotten any experience using the zen 16gb drive? If so, is there a way to copy files without using WMP? I want to copy some audio files to the player, but really would like to use Windows Explorer to copy the files. Any assistance will be appreciated. RE: Creative zen 16GB drive
Thanks for the response. I wish it was that simple, but it looks as though one must use WMP, and I really don't like that program. If anyone else has any suggestions, please let me know what you think. Again, thanks much. Tim Hi, I do not know much about this particular zenstone device but as far as the others, if it works like my zen, you just plug it in and with windows it should appear in the my com folder. Just click on the zen folder device and it should open. You simply begin copying the files from your audio files wherever they are and go over to the zen and paste them, it should be that simple. MMM that is all I know, if it gets more complicated than that, maybe an expert can tell you more.
