High Tom,
If you still can't get the new version of Switch to work, I can send you the
older version of it that I have.

Please keep us posted!
My best regards.

Yup..saved the set-up thingy; so may try that again! As has been
mentioned, I can get around some of it by using some keystrokes I found
while going through the menus! However..didn't find any keystrokes to do
anything with changing bit rate! Thanks for the suggestion; may give that
a try!

Hello Tom,
Did you save a back up copy of the software on your computer?
If you did, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the software in order
to fix the problem.

Try doing that and see if it helps things for you.
If you need anymore help, please let me know, and I'll see what I can do
for you.

My best regards.

High Tom,
When you first bring up Switch, tab over to where it says, browse
button.

After you get there, hit either the space bar or the inter key.
After that, it will allow you to place the files in wherever folder
in any place on your computer.
After you've selected the folder you want the files to go in to, just
tab over to the ok button and hit either the space bar or the inter
key and then tab over to the convert button and hit the space bar on
it.

Now, Switch will convert the files and save them in to that folder.
Hope this helps.
My best regards.

High Tom,
Highlight the file by having the curser pointing at it.
Go in to your file menu and scroll down to Switch.
Tab over to where it says file options or something rather like
that.

Hit the space bar.
You will see a list of file types.
If the default file isn't .mp3, then scroll up or down until you get
to that one.
It also gives you the option to set the bit rate and stereo joint
stereo or force stereo.
After you have done this, then tab over to ok, hit the space bar.
then tab over to the convert button and hit the space bar again.

At this point, Switch will start converting the file to .mp3.
But now that Switch is sat to convert files to .mp3, you can follow
the steps above.
But only, you will hit the F3 key to start Switch to converting
files to .mp3.

Hope this helps.
My best regards.
 John

Hello John and list: Pressing the space bar (at least the last time I was
there)..did nothing! Haven't had a chance to do much with it lately; my
main concern is if I need to make a change..let's say I need to change the
bit rate or something like that..I hope I haven't done something to cause
this problem!

In most cases, the space bar always works.
If that doesn't work, please let me know, and I will try and help you
figure it out.

High Tom,
When you first bring up Switch, tab over to where it says, browse
button.

After you get there, hit either the space bar or the inter key.
After that, it will allow you to place the files in wherever folder in
any place on your computer.
After you've selected the folder you want the files to go in to, just
tab over to the ok button and hit either the space bar or the inter key
and then tab over to the convert button and hit the space bar on it.

Now, Switch will convert the files and save them in to that folder.
Hope this helps.
My best regards.
 John.

And as for the inner workings of the file, if you tab over to that

Highlight the file by having the curser pointing at it.
Go in to your file menu and scroll down to Switch.
Tab over to where it says file options or something rather like
that.

Hit the space bar.
You will see a list of file types.
If the default file isn't .mp3

Yup..saved the set-up thingy; so may try that again! As has been

Hello Tom,
Did you save a back up copy of the software on your computer?
If you did, you may have to uninstall and reinstall the software in order
to fix the problem.

Try doing that and see if it helps things for you.
If you need anymore help, please let me know, and I'll see what I can do
for you.

My best regards.

to that one.

High Tom,
In most cases, the space bar always works.
If that doesn't work, please let me know, and I will try and help you figure
it out.

My best regards.

Hey John and list: Yeah..that makes sense to me! Now if you've seen my
latest post on this Switch thing..then you know that I've discovered
that, for some reason, none of the buttons are working..and I don't know
what I've done to cause this! I'm fine..so long as I don't want to change
something (I mostly wanted to convert a couple of these M4a files to
MP3s)..but now..if I decide I want to change the bit rate..no soap! For
nothing will click (can hit that ole enter key all I please; it does

High Tom,
When you first bring up Switch, tab over to where it says, browse
button.

After you get there, hit either the space bar or the inter key.
After that, it will allow you to place the files in wherever folder in
any place on your computer.
After you've selected the folder you want the files to go in to, just tab
over to the ok button and hit either the space bar or the inter key and
then tab over to the convert button and hit the space bar on it.

Now, Switch will convert the files and save them in to that folder.
Hope this helps.
My best regards.
 John.

Go in to your file menu and scroll down to Switch.

The easiest way I know to do this is highlight the file you want to
switch. Go into applications and down to convert with switch I think it
is. You can tell it to put the converted file in the same directory as
the one you are working on or tell it a different one I think.
