Re: Is the NCH audio software accessible?
Peter, For me, the easiest way to add files in Burnaware is to use cut and paste. I hate drag and drop solutions. I should also mention that when setting up an audio CD in Burnaware, one can also easily rearrange the order of the files to be played without having to renumber them. Additionally, one can burn Iso files as well as bin-cue files if he wishes. Don Roberts On 12/26/2013 3:58 PM, Peter Russillo wrote: Hi Donald and Brian. This Burnaware sounds like a good one. Now, to select songs to put on the audio CD, since I find Windows Media Player tricky as far as making a playlist, is there a Browse function where I can find the songs that are on the hard drive and copy and paste? What's the best way you've found to put several tracks into the program for burning to disc? Please let me know of any tips or tricks that've worked for you; thanks very much. Peter
RE: Is the NCH audio software accessible?
I have a question about Express Burn, which I use on a 64-bit Win7 machine. When I rip a CD, it does two things I don't like. First, it reorders the sequence of tracks so that they appear alphabetically, not the way they appear on the album. Second, each track name begins with the name of the CD so that I have to remove that part of the name manually. The one thing I like about Windows Media Player, which became too cumbersome for me, is that it ripped a CD with the album name as the main folder and each track inside that folder in album sequence. Has any Express Burn user found how to rip a CD the way I want? -Original Message- From: Pc-audio [mailto:pc-audio-boun...@pc-audio.org] On Behalf Of Mike Thomas Sent: Thursday, December 26, 2013 11:40 AM To: PC Audio Discussion List Subject: Re: Is the NCH audio software accessible? I've used Express Burn for several years, and I find it totally accessible. There is one area near the bottom that keeps track of how much space is on the disk, and how much of that space you've marked files for burning. This is only accessible via the Jaws cursor, or a simple script can be written. Best of all, the program is free for the first two weeks or 15 days, so you get to try it prior to buying it. - Original Message - From: "dan Kerstetter" To: "'PC Audio Discussion List'" Sent: Thursday, December 26, 2013 11:32 AM Subject: RE: Is the NCH audio software accessible? >I believe it will work on Windows 7 64 bit. Hi Donald and Brian. This Burnaware sounds like a good one. Now, to select songs to put on the audio CD, since I find Windows Media Player tricky as far as making a playlist, is there a Browse function where I can find the songs that are on the hard drive and copy and paste? Re: Is the NCH audio software accessible?
Well once you open the program and choose the type of cdrom you wish to create and press OK, then you will be presented with a screen with menu bar at top. press alt which will get you to file menu. (Alt-f will not work.) Arrow down this menu. You will find selections like select file(s), select folder which will overcome this useless drag and drop nuisance and take it from there. Another accessible option is iTunes. - Original Message - From: "Clive Lever" To: "'PC Audio Discussion List'" Sent: Wednesday, December 25, 2013 6:59 PM Subject: RE: Is the NCH audio software accessible? Hello, Yes, Express Burn is very accessible. If you use Jaws there's one point in the burning process where you have to select whether you are coing to burn file by file or load up all the files in a given folder. Here you have to use the Jaws Cursor to reach the selection, but that's about as hard as it gets. NCH Express Rip is also accessible and is my personal favourite CD ripping tool. So I'd say, get the trial version and give the NCH Express Burn a go.
