Re: Help Please with Audegy Card

2006-04-10 Thread Brian Olesen
Hi Richard,
Your driver settings may be corrupted so you can't choose to select the advance
option.

The only solution I know to this is to create a new windows xp user and move
all your old documents and so on, on to that one.

If you have skype you're welcome to contact me for some instructions.

Best regards
Brian

 Hi,

I am writing again to ask for your help. If you read on below, you will get
some more information about my particular situation. Anyway, I have this
audegy card with 4 jacks. I can't see to get at the bass/trebble settings
 in control panel/volume/advanced/properties. I have the sound-blaster
audegy software/drivers installed. Firstly, does anyone know the brand of
audegy I have with 4 jacks? Second, how do I get access to the
bass/treabble settings? Finally, is there any way of getting the front
panel jacks working with the audegy card? Thanks.

 Subject: audegy and speaker setup

 Hi,

I just installed an audio audegy sound card and have some questions about
configuring it. When I was using my previous sound blaster, I could have
 it
play through two sets of speakers, one out of the speakers jack and the
other out of auxiliary I think. With this card, there are 4 jacks from
 what
I can tell; two would be for speakers. I can only get sound out of one
jack. How can I get both speaker jacks working?

I have jacks on my front panel as well. Does this type of card support
 front panel playing?

As well, under the advanced settings of my playback options, I used to be
able to adjust bass and treble with the blaster. How come I can't get at
that now? The only choice I have is play only digital ... or something
 like that.

Finally, what speaker setting should I set for audegy cards. I notice
quad, 5.1 7.1 etc. Which is appropriate? Thanks in advance,

 Richard

Brian, Thanks for the reply. I can get into the advanced option dialogue
box but not the choice of trebble/bass within it. I'm beginning to think
that perhaps this card is on the cheapper side of things and won't allow me
the ability to change those settings. It could be as well a conflict with
the sound blaster software and drivers which are also installed. I don't
know if it is a corrupted driver though but I wonder if the windows xp
driver for this device is more usable in the circumstances.

Hi,
What you must do is you have to select the advance box under options.
Then in the play back and record dialog you get an advance bottun you can
activate. Then you get access to the tone controls.

Best regards

Hi Brian. If Richards drivers are corrupted, there may be an easier way to
