Re: Skype and Interference with Other Audio Packages

2004-08-09 Thread shawn klein
Thanks Charles. My volume control problem doesn't bug
me enough to get rid of skype, I've been having too
much fun with it, lol. I'd heard that a bug was fixed
some time back that caused it to jack up your volume
levels when you receive a call. Maybe the new versions
would work for you. Depends on your OS I guess, and
what else you have installed. Windows is strange, lol.
Thanks for the info.

Hey, mint to reply but, didn't have time until now.
 I've noticed Skype
interferes with both Total Recorder and can
 interfere with Shoutcast if you
use that to stream. I will point out at this time
 that I haven't tried the
newest Skype version. I downloaded the previous
 version, had some problems
with Total Recorder, got frustrated and took it off.

 Hope this helps.

Good question. A few weeks ago I posted about a
 volume
control problem I have in xp, the only way I can
change the actual volume level for the mic is if
 I'm
in an I vocalize chat room. Don't know if it's
 skype
related or not, but nobody replied to my original
  post.

   interference with other

   etc.?

Skype.

What sort of problmes have been experienced? What do I look out for?
