Re: squeezebox radio

2013-07-25 Thread Dane Trethowan
Just to put people in the picture, the Squeezebox line of products don't rely
on drivers, they're self contained running their own version of the LYNUX
operating system and thus their own firmware so all the user can do is update
to the latest or download open source patches which have been developed by
other Squeezebox users.

The Squeezebox Radio is no longer being sold, a newer version called the
Logitech U.E. Radio now replaces it and I can't help wondering whether this
newer version and facilities thus laid out may be causing the problem? Most
unlikely I suppose, that's something to be discussed on the Squeezebox Forums
page.

Re: squeezebox radio

2013-07-25 Thread Dane Trethowan
Okay, some other things you can try and you'll need sighted assistance for
these unfortunately.

Firstly go through the menu system to "Update firmware" and apply the latest
firmware update.

If this doesn't fix anything then you'll have to do a "factory Reset".

Sorry I can't really be of any further assistance, I've not had this problem
yet.

Hi, you might want to search the Logitech site for any
drivers/faq/manual? Maybe find a dealer in your region?

Thanks for the answer Dane. I did disconnect the battery for about a
half hour and then tried it again. Unfortunately it didn't help the
problem, but I appreciate you making a suggestion. It's not a huge
problem, but I'd sure like to have it working like it was. I'll keep
trying to get in touch with Squeezebox or Logitech.

Thanks again.

If your Squeezebox Radio is not powered by a battery pack and is AC
powered from the adapter then turn off the power and disconnect the
Squeezebox Radio for about half an hour and then reconnect.

Note that when the Squeezebox Radio is running on AC power by
default the unit will remain on all the time, when the Radios is
running on battery power the unit will turn off if its not being used.
