Bobcat, you might try using the replay radio driver. It is reached in the
same way you access your usual sound card driver under volume, advanced
properties, or at least I think it is. Under my options I have the two or
three things listed most of which I can't recall and didn't recognize back
when I last looked. One was the replay radio driver which appearred under
properties for gboth the record and the play modes. I think it is
recommended onlyh if the recordings aren't working. You might try it and
see if it helps.

Hi
You can find Replay Radio at http://www.replay-radio.com/
Remember at least for now if you like the program you will need someone who
can see to help you register.
I have been using this program for some time and am very happy with it.

Re: Replay Radio with WinEyes

2004-07-09 Thread Bobcat
Thanks Ron. I was able to get Replay Radio started, using your mouse
movement tips.

Now I have another problem.

I am unable to set up a recording source. I run the test and am told no
sources were found and I should update my drivers. I read the faq but it
doesn't seem to address this problem.

It could be cause when my tecnician installed my sound card after upgrading,
he only let the basic Win98se drivers for the Sblive be installed instead of
using the full Creative package. He claimed it would keep my system from
slowing down.

I haven't had any trouble using my sound card with other applications so I
didn't worry about it. Now it looks like I'll have to mess around with
updating the drivers.

Thanks.

Hi, it would appear they have not updated the entry screen on the demo. It
is a print screen initially. When it comes up, there are three choices:
register, purchase and demo if I remember right. I managed the demo by
routing the mouse to the cursor once the program opened and using the shift
control numpad arrows to move by pixels, I moved roughly 3 down and 5 to the
right. I then clicked. If nothing happened after a few seconds, I moved
either down or to the right a step further. When you hit the magic spot, it
says something like "desktop" then "replay radio then "manage shows" or
something similar. From then on it is quite accessible. I wrote and
complained that for such a usable program, they had an unusable initial
screen. They said they like the suggestions and would make the fix. Truth
is, after you register which is easiest with a set of eyes around, the
problematic screen disappears never to return which is why I didn't check to
see what changes have actually been made in the intro screen. Once
registered, it is quite usable. Anyway, that is how I managed to get the
demo started after getting visual assistance once so I know what I was
dealing with. After that, it has worked well for me and I have been quite
pleased.

Replay Radio with WinEyes

2004-07-08 Thread Bobcat
I just heard about Replay Radio on this list so I got a demo to try. I
can't seem to get any controls when I start the program. it doesn't seem to
have a menu either. I can't even close the program with alt-f4 or from the
taskbar.

Any WinEyes people using this program successfully?
