Hey Bob. I was using a rechargeable NiMH battery that was four years old. I put a brand new alkaline in it and it worked like a champ in the cool weather and after being in the refrigerator for two hours. Thanks everyone. Good stuff! Some times it is that one or two degree drop in temperature that will drain the battery to the point where it just doesn't have enough juice to do the job. This morning I tried keeping it in my shirt pocket under a sweat shirt and a fleece jacket but it still wouldn't work when I needed it. I'll concentrate on keeping the battery real warm tomorrow. Sony MZB-100 won't record in cool weather!
