Windows Sounds Still Not Back!
Okay folks: have done what I _think_ I was told to do..no soap! Went to Total Recorder to look for ssesettintgs (closest I can find are System Settings) seemingly no way to get to where I was told to go! So I have gone to the Task Manager and gone to Applications, found Untitled Total Recorder and killed it..still no Windows Sounds! What am I not doing or what am I doing wrong? Tom Kaufman P./S. After you kill total recorder, you have to go into the windows control panel, or better yet type sound in the start menu search box, down arrow till you see the sound app, hit enter, go to the tab control and select sounds (the third choice), get to the combo box and go down till you can't go down anymore and hit enter and you should have your sounds back . Re: Windows Sounds Still Not Back!
I don't no why it must be killed. Wich software driver do you use with version 7? That might also cause problems. I suggest you update to 8.4 and use the new driver they provide in the default instal and remove the other too vurtual drivers. Once you are on 8.4 pro or standard, those too settings I mentioned should stil be there. To update is free once you own a licens. Re: Windows Sounds Still Not Back!
I just may try that; will all my other settings be the same once I've updated to Try 8? BTW-the Windows sounds _still_ are not back! I thought I had done everything I have been told to do, but the Windows sounds still remain silent!
