activating noise reduction

2006-01-01 Thread Brian Hartgen
Hi
I am trying to activate Sony's noise reduction 2.0 on a new computer running
Windows XP Pro, and am getting an error and I wondered if anyone else had
come across this or can give me any other ideas about activating this
product. Sony are naturally closed over this holiday period. Perhaps
someone could also let me know what is the best way of getting hold of tech
support, is it by phone or by e-mail? Thanks.

OK, so to the problem.
I start noise reduction and immediately get the following error:
Internet Explorer Script Error
An error has occurred in the script on this page.
Line: 5
Char: 1
Error: Object expected
Code: 0
URL: file://C:\Documents and Settings\brian hartgen\Local
Settings\Temp\udat\upsell.htm

Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
Yes No
If anyone could please help, I would be grateful as I really need to get
this up and running to do some audio work. These things always happen when
you have to get something done don't they?

Thanks.

Brian Hartgen

2006-01-01 Thread Mac Norins
Brian,

I assume that when you say Sony, you are talking about Soundforge, right?
In my experience, I had a problem with getting an MP3 plug in activation and
registration, for that product, sorted out. I had to call a toll free
number, which is:

1 800 577 6642, which is a United States number.
Of course, I could be barking up the wrong tree and you might be talking
about another Sony product, entirely, right? Also, you are talking about
Noise Reduction, which I have had no problems with! Anyway, as you already
know, they are probably closed until tomorrow! Tech Support through the
Internet Help site has always been inaccessible to me!

Regards and Happy New Year,

Mac Norins

Re: activating noise reduction

2006-01-02 Thread Brian Hartgen
Hi Jerry
I have looked at all the potential internet security possibilities, and no
other sites are affected and all seems OK.

I assume they are closed today, Monday, but are back on Tuesday so will try
to call them then to resolve this. Interestingly, it says on the site that
build 2.0C of noise reduction was uploaded in December 2005 because people
had problems with the older build in respect of activating it. So they must
be aware there are some issues.
Let's hope I can get it resolved.

Thanks.
