Re: combining 2 wave files
Chris, Do you still have the CD? If so, you could use CDEX to rip the two tracks as a single track by selecting them both and using the option to rip a section of the CD into either WAV or MP3. Appreciate this is no good to you if you don't have the CD but thought it worth mentioning. Regards. Re: combining 2 wave files
You can try to use soundrecorder which comes with windows. You would have to pull up the first track play it to the point you wish to mix in the second track and enter the edit menu and arrow down to mix with to get your second track. - Original Message - From: Christopher Bartlett [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: PC audio discussion list. Re: combining 2 wave files
import the first file into goldWave. press shift+e this brings up a feature that allows you to enter the time segment you wish to start. the easiest way to do this is to tab twice to the finish time and copy it. shift+tab to the start time and paste. press enter. Now you are at the end of that file. press ctrl+o to open the second file. When it is complete press ctrl+a to select all then copy. Press ctrl+tab to move to the first file and paste. Listen to see if you need to filter out any extra silence. Re: combining 2 wave files
Load the first file. Then load the second, and copy its entire contents into the clipboard. Close the second file, which will take you back to the first file. Use control+e to paste the contents of the clipboard (the second file) at the end of the first. Hope this helps. Recently on this list someone asked about using GoldWave to splitt one file into several. My situation is the exact opposite. I have 2 spoken word wave files, each representing one side of a cassette. I now need to combine them into one wave file using GoldWave. Can someone suggest a method of doing this seamlessly? Eventually the files will be in MP3 format, so if it's easier to split the files as MP3s, that would be fine as well. The important aspect is that the 2 files end up combined. Any thoughts on the best way to go about it?
