Can you change the save location to somewhere like "My Documents" or
"Desktop"?  These folders have read/write permissions by default in 
Windows,

whereas the Audacity folder might not.

Here is a Microsoft article on changing folder permissions:

When I record with Audacity I save to a folder I've created on the desktop
and there are no problems with permissions.
