I posted a link to facebook:
https://www.facebook.com/ellarsee/posts/10155971366479673

And a friend took a go at IDing the birds:

You are right about the egrets, great shots all around! After the first
series of Great Egrets, you caught photos of a Clark's Grebe (look up
the similar species Western Grebe), followed by a Black-necked Stilt
(who has really long legs, but its standing in water so it doesn't look
tall in your photos). Next bird looks like a female Brewer's Blackbird,
but blackbirds are tricky... The stripe-y sparrow looks like a
Golden-crowned Sparrow, followed by the Snowy Egrets. The one after that
is tricky, but I think it's a Yellowlegs who is hiding it's distinctive
bright yellow legs. They come in two sizes and can be hard to tell
apart. The Great Blue Heron is the last bird in your series. Looks like
you had a great day! Thanks for tagging me! It was fun to ID the
shorebirds hiding their legs.

Windoze running Win10 Creator (my wife's). PSE10. Every time I try to save
an edited image it generates 10 "phantom" 0 byte temp. files + the
edited image - a total of 11! All one can do is move the image files to
another folder & then delete the whole folder with the 10 0 byte files.
Takes ages. No such problem on my computer with identical config. but mine

Thanks, Jack.

I was surprised that the survivors' stairs were placed right next to the
main staircase from the upper level to the base of the tower foundations.
I tried to include the visitors descending the public staircase as
symbolic "ghosts" of those who descended the old staircase during the
evacuation.

That is probably to complicated of a concept for this image, but that what
was in my head when I was framing the shot.

No doubt there are other ways of achieving that outcome - but the above is
the strategy I used when space is an issue

someone sent me mp3's of music I can't stand anyway and eat up 8 mgs - but
the person who sent them
is dear to me so I want to keep that mail

OT: One for the computer boffins

2017-11-24 Thread Alan C
Whenever I save an edited image from PSE10 editor (on a second computer),
11 0 byte temp files with the same name are created. PSE10 on this
computer is as good as useless. They have to be deleted manually which takes
ages. I have uninstalled (deep) & reinstalled without success. Avast shows
no virus problems. I have read some stuff about 0 byte temp files on the
Forums but it doesn't make sense. Also something about a "parasite". Any
ideas?
