Sadly my Acer Travelmate 5744 Laptop has no PCI Express port so an upgrade to USB3 is impossible. I realize I need a new laptop but that's an expensive business in SA today. I've been using them ever since, and, of course, getting longer and longer transfer times when moving image files to my computer. I finally decided enough was enough and bought myself a USB 3 card reader. Holy cow!! The new reader is something like 6 times faster.
