Re: Tripods

2018-11-17 Thread Larry Colen
Do to the magic of google ads remembering what you searched for I just
got a pointer to a couple of used induro tripod bases from borrow lenses:

https://www.borrowlenses.com/product/gear-for-sale/induro_ct113?CID=SM-FB-BL-DPA-USED=IwAR2aEBa6sB4LzqtIo03NZE9ATkVGEeusd8efNkLnOGNAcgUxAS8Sg3Lgaio

If mind hadn't been found I'd have been very interested. It seems like a
really nice carbon fiber tripod base fro $213. Sharing this for the
others that are looking for a decent tripod for a good price.

A book of Vogon poetry. Slim but _very_ heavy.

Except when I tried it, I placed my passport on the scanner, looked into the
camera, and a door opened on the machine, a large hand shot out and slapped my
face.

With a dead fish, I assume? :-D

Oh yeah, I should have mentioned. It was demolished. I'm not sure when...
quite a few were locked up in insurance wrangles for a few years but I think
all but one of those were eventually demolished.

There are still a large number of parking lots in the central city but new
buildings seem to be appearing each time I go in.

Cheers,

Re: PESO: Foundations

I just realised what you meant by the unfortunate weather. That was pretty
much confined to the mountains. It caused a little trouble with a washed-out
bridge but it certainly wasn't any kind of disaster. If they get that kind of
rain around the Kaikoura region it might be a bit worse as there is a lot of
land that's still loose since the big quake two years ago.

Cheers,
Dave
