Re: PESO 2021 - 001 - GDG

2021-01-04 Thread Godfrey DiGiorgi
Hmm. Different perceptions entirely. :)

Construction fences out here help reduce the amount of dust that the
construction is generating from blowing all over the place, so there's always a
bit of chain link on the inside and a dust shield on the outside. As I walked
past, I was enjoying the sunset casting shadows on the fence from the building
construction inside. The sun bloomed through the construction and the fencing's
shadows and colors did a bit of a dance … the dust shield looked to me like
high altitude striations of cloud… and the forms of the construction, while
sturdy, slowly billowed with the wind on the dust shield. It was whimsical to
my eye, the light and moving against the heavy and stoliddkd

I guess I've failed utterly to convey this feeling of an abstract dance of
shadows in light. Gloom was the furthest thing from my mind.
Oh well, it happens. :)

Thanks Ann!

Hmm. I wasn't actually thinking of it as "gloomy", just "dark and technical
abstraction" … It was made somewhere around mid-Summer 2020, I think … this lot
of Polaroids have been stacking upon my bookshelf for months waiting for enough
of them to be there to be worth setting up the copy kit for high rez captures.
:)

That's reminding me that I need to order film… Down to just three packs of 600
speed left and a couple more SX-70 (ISO 150). At eight shots per pack, they go
quickly when I start shooting with the Polaroids.

I just got word from Chris Kellog, who helped out a little over a year ago with
my BHD3, the parts should be in the mail tomorrow. Amazing service, another
good reason to recommend Induro/Benro gear. It’s quite possible that other
brands make better gear, but the value for the price, plus the service of
Induro and Benro continues to impress me.

The capture was color film, but after playing with it a bit, I liked it best in

I would have a look if it was summer and Covid wasn’t an issue. But not much
one can do to examine it now. There’s salt and slush in the streets. That’s a
steep price fir a Tudor. I had a ‘34 50 years ago.

Yes, I know that this is at least seven levels of bad idea, but at the moment
