I had a good look through that lot. Quite remarkable! Plenty of
opportunities for me to try something like that around here - max. about
70 years!

I took a lot of photos of the area with my little drone. And amongst my

Stan, no it is not the same family. Sure, the current owners got prints of
my picture and they did already have a copy of the old postcard of 1910.
The left part of the house was built in the 15th century and it served as a
farm house until 1919. Being the oldest house in the village, its history
is well documented..

Henk, this seems a very interesting and challenging project.
I am just curious… in the 3rd slider image on the linked website, there is a
family (?) in front of a farmhouse (?) on the left side. On the right side a
2021 version of the scene. Are the people in the 2021 version from the same

It is possible that this swarm left a property about half a mile up the

Ah,  I see  - you are among those who feel you should use a recent photo
for the PUG..

Wonderful you have a photo project to work on..   Certainly understand
the reluctance to travel these days.

I can't travel anymore either.. and what photos I have taken on the past
few years have either been just out my window
with the K-5 or in the neighborhood with the fixed-lens cameras that I
can still lift and are not Pentax.  So I am always
digging out chromes to submit - which you helped with sending me the
gadget for my flatbed scanner.

Many years ago, during a athletics meeting at the local High School, a
large swarm arrived in a tree near the track. Some idiot schoolkids
started pelting them with stones and they went on the rampage. My wife
was badly stung & had to go for antihistamine treatment which had to be
