Re: Askingfor a tiny/big favour (US)

As a seller
my issue would be shipping to a 3rd-party address.
That is a method of some scammers, so those who do
so with legitimacy should consider other options.

Askingfor a tiny/big favour (US)

2006-02-27 Thread Tim Øsleby
I am dribbling over a lens at ebay. It's an old, slow, heavy, ugly, but
probably good, and most likely affordable, long telezoom.

But the thing is, it is an US shipment only item. (What is it with you
Americans, and this US only, thing? ;-) )
So, now I am asking; if I am the lucky winner of this auction, can anybody
help me out on this, and ship it to me? It will not make you rich, but I'm
not in a hurry, and it will make me very grateful.

Mostly harmless (just plain Norwegian)

There are three reasons.

1. That is the default when you set up your listing

2. Many folk think there are all kinds of problems involved in exporting
somthing, and shipping can be a problem for the uninformed.

3. For some reason many out that think ripping off americans is the
thing to do, but that would worry me more on buying than selling.

You might want to quiry the seller he may, like me, make that decision
on a person by person basis. You could also offer to setup the shipping
from your end.

Tim, a friendly word to the seller asking if he/she will ship to Norway
can work wonders
