Cheapest k-mount body
What is it? (By cheapest I mean poorest construction/materials.) The Vivitar V4000 comes to mind. Is there anything worse that that? Collin

Then why the hell did you waste even more of your time replying? Also, how did you know it was drivel without reading it? -Original Message- From: Gary L. One thing that keeps puzzling me is how some people seem to be in such a total lack of selfrespect that they don't hesitatet to, or obviously don't care if they even show the whole world what an extraordinary asshole they are. Ouch. What was that for? Probably he's just in a bad mood because of being hit on by a gay florist. And because Pentax is about to switch to a totally-non-backwards-compatible lens mount and send special agents into all our homes to confiscate all our old-style k-mount gear. Re: Cheapest k-mount body
I have no idea if they're still around, and I've never held one, but there are/were a bunch of Chinese K1000 knock-offs around - Mingca was one of them. IIRC, they were made in factories that Pentax used to source K1000's at the end of their run. Anyone know what they're like, or if they're still available? This thread just made me wonder... cheers, frank Collin Brendemuehl wrote: What is it? (By cheapest I mean poorest construction/materials.) The Vivitar V4000 comes to mind. Still own one of the Mingca's... Works exactly like a K1000... The main difference is the Mingca has LED's for the meter rather then the match needle of the Pentax K1000 I picked it up of eBay about two years ago and only paid $55 US for it. Later, Gary

Hi! PA I don't know the Zenit seems to be made with good materials, it's just the PA result that's bad. PA At 06:01 PM 2/12/2003 +0100, you wrote: Zenit All the best!
