There are a few gaps in the Fujinon range and the 28 f2.8 and 50 1.7
are useful as is a 135 3.5 I've got languishing in a cupboard. I don't
think I'll buy any more Pentax lenses though. I do intend to do some
film work with the MXes.

Makes sense to me, Chris.

Was just given one of those last week. Now to find the ME-F.

Chris, I think that Pentax has several rather unique lenses (say,
50/1.2, either K or A - no matter) that could be well used on your Fuji
cameras...

But otherwise, I hear you.

I took a bit of a gamble on the 16-50. Its SDM motor was broken and I

I did OK out of it, with a "profit" of around 260GBP.

which I'll keep for ever - 2 MXes, one of which I inherited from my

I'll stick around here of course - in fact I'm meeting Bob W and Cotty

a Fuji-fest. I'll make sure I take a Pentax lens along...

Sounds like you're happy with the Fuji, Chris. Great!

The more I use the Olympus E-M1, the happier I get. To the point that I've
decided to pare down the camera kit, focusing on it and the M9 for digital
capture.

I think I have one Pentax lens left, an SMC-Takumar 135mm M42 lens. If anyone
is interested in it, let me know as it will go to Ebay soon.

That page is illegible!

However, it sounds most interesting. And Pentax? I guess we will have to wait and see
what will happen...

OT: End of an era - Minolta will merge with Konica in July

2003-01-06 Thread Iren & Henry Chu
According to news in Japan, Minolta will merge with Konica in July:

http://www.sankei.co.jp/news/morning/07iti001.htm

Is it the end of an era for Minolta, or a new dawn?

Just wonder how Pentax is going to survive, with such a powerful competitor.
