A friend of mine damaged the filter ring on his 70-210 Tamron F2.8 zoom.
Tamron wanted a fortune to fix it so he took it to a machinist who fixed it
for, I think, 20 bucks.

Excellent glass, excellent mechanicals, and mostly excellent finish EXCEPT

for a ding on the top of the lens barrel which has damaged the filter ring,

so filters will not mount. This may be fixable, but as I don't often use

filters I haven't tried. There is a very slight amount of wear evident on

the aperture ring.

Just wanted to say that IMHO this really is an excellent lens. Very light and
rugged, focus is very pleasing, and the optics are awesome. It has so little
distortion for a lens that wide. And it is plenty sharp, and pretty usable wide
open.

I've also found that BW shots with sun directly on frame render quite nicely :
the negative is not over-burned and you can get some nice detail around the sun
easily. And flare resitance is nice.

This is by far my most used lens during trips since I bought it. It has became
one of my favourite pentax lenses.

Lucky you, they are hard to find, and it is even hardest in mint condition !

I've found one that is almost mint so this one has to go.

Payment via PayPal would be fine, but I'm open to other suggestions.
