It's completely up to my ISP to change the block I'm assigned to.
Currently it's 89.123.0.0 - 89.123.255.255, it was different (but
similarly large) a few months ago. Websites which try to guess my
location are placing me all over the country:)

Just catching up on Holiday Season mail here, and I'm "Forbidden" to
see this page. I'm at 58.166.118.22 presumably until I log off. I'll
leave my modem powered up and logged in until I hear back so I suppose
the address will remain unchanged, if I correctly understand the
workings of these things.

While the modification to use "puffin" was entirely appropriate,
and a brilliant interpolation into the ongoing thread, I have to
wonder if some people think the entire concept was original.
Originally it was "chicken", not "puffin". I've even seen this
form on a bumper sticker.
AFAIK the earliest appearance of this joke (though in a rather
less pithy form) was in "Eric", by Terry Pratchett.

Vintage stuff this year. I feel compelled to nominate a favourite:

"Erotic is using a feather, kinky is using the whole puffin?

However, I would particularly like to commend Bill Robb on his excellent

quotes as much as the quotes themselves and nice to find myself in
there. now that i got through the hole, will work harder at it in

perhaps not everyone would recognize the reference, but I did).

I've really got to get a life!
