I ~was~ going to tell you to have a great weekend/shoot, but then I read your last line. Bastard! vbg Seriously, hava great time, Mark. I never got around to seeing your last bunch of racing shots (kept meaning to open that post, then the modem crash, and that post got purged in the backlog), so I expect several hundred great shots to look at when you get back. cheers, frank = The optimist thinks this is the best of all possible worlds. I'll be working for Superbikeplanet.com and my shots Mark, Too bad you have to play (oops, I mean work) on the weekend! It's kind of both: It's certainly very enjoyable on a certain level and gratifying when it's done, but it is a lot of work and you can't really enjoy the racing itself (in fact, I often have to get reports on what actually transpired during the race from others). Watch out for those orange barrels. Does digital = ist*D? Yep. Plus FA*80-200/2.8 and Sigma EX300/2.8 APO. Possibly some other lenses will come into play if I do shots in pit lane or the paddock, but I don't think that's too likely. How quickly do you have to shoot for these races? Just quickly enough to upload the files by 5:00 ;-) 'night all. I have to hit the road *early* tomorrow morning! -- Mark Roberts Photography and writing www.robertstech.com
I'm off for the weekend
Heading up to Portville, NY tomorrow for a weekend with Nate's parents. We're going to the Wellsville balloon festival on Saturday and I hear that on Monday we're going to Letchworth State Park. Needless to say, I'm bringing a fair amount of gear with me. Yesterday I went to Adorama to buy eight rolls of Fuji Superia 200 and 400, which I had great results with last year. Catch you guys when I get back! --Amita - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions. Re: I'm off for the weekend
Hi, Amita, Oo! Letchworth State Park! I've been camping there many times, and it's gorgeous! The Grand Canyon of the North, it's sometimes called. Of course, it's not ~nearly~ as big, but it is quite lovely. Bring your hiking boots, 'cause there are lots of terrific trails going up and down the gorge. And, if memory serves correctly (haven't been there for about 10 years), there are three waterfalls along the gorge for some wonderful photo ops (as if the gorge itself isn't enough). And if you have the time or inclination, at one end of the Gorge, is the town of Geneseo, which is very pretty. Check it out if you have the chance. I didn't have a camera the times I went there, so I'm looking forward to seeing your pics posted. Sounds like you'll have a great weekend, with the balloon festival thrown in there too! Have fun. regards, frank Amita Guha wrote: Heading up to Portville, NY tomorrow for a weekend with Nate's parents.
