They do insist that jpegs arrive at the photo editors desk with exif data intact. Help. Somehow, I've set my K-5 to take black white pictures. How did I do it? How do I get back to shooting in color? I suspect that one of those has been set to something wonky. This is yet another reason why you don't want to shoot in JPEG. It's a lot easier to convert raw files in color to black and white, than it is to convert black and white jpegs to color. Or (if arrow keys are set to change focus point) turn AF selector on the back down to AUTO, then Arrow right for entering picture finishing and then arrow right or left for setting the proper picture finishing. Larry, I've been on this list for what seems to be decades. I just don't post frequently. When my assignment is to provide quick PJ shots, I don’t really have the time to play with RAW and then convert to the required JPEG. It's more like get it right in the camera and ship it without adjustments. Some editors actually consider converting from RAW to JPEG the same as modifications. I suppose that in the film era they insisted on polaroids because converting from negatives to print would be the same as modifications. :-) But, if it's something that works for you, then that is what works for you.
