I do understand that they wanted to encourage new sales, but I still
think it would have been helpful if they'd included backwards
compatibility. Even if the astro-tracing wouldn't work, being able to
add GPS coordinates to EXIF would be useful.

It is an ingenious device, but I understand why they didn't bother to

It would be helpful if that GPS thing that uses the sensor shift for

The K10D and K20D didn't have sensor rotation as part of the SR
system, so it wouldn't have worked as well for astrophotography on
those cameras. (The motion of the stars on the sky varies from pure
rotation at the celestial poles to pure translation at the celestial
equator.)

Gorgeous astrophotography.

The K20D is awful for astrophotography. I never thought of buying a
K10D for that purpose. I bought an old Nikon D200, instead (same
sensor). It is very good for astrophotography.

On Saturday morning I see a BGN K10D w/battery & charger on KEH for $144.00

So, yeah, ask $225 and if it doesn't sell, lower the price until it does
sell.

Top end for a body seems to be about $225. If the grip is included it
will bring top end prices. Interestingly, KEH has *none* in inventory.
It seems to still be a fairly sought-after Pentax body, considering
its age.

Good luck with your sale!
