I had the same problem using Netscape 4.62, the buttons
on the bootom of the pop-up window are simply not there ...

Using IE on Windows some time later did work OK ...

All you need to do in Netscape is reduce the size of the font. When the
window opens with the download times, press control and [ and it will shrink
the size of the font and you should be able to see the file size and the
options to download or to close the window.

I se IE6 and Win2k and haven't noticed any problems apart from a 
quirkiness about accepting cookies.

Mind you, I recently installed Win98 to test some legacy software and the 
OS was about as stable as an upside down pyramid.  Awful, absolutely 
awful.  I immediately installed Win2k on that box and that's much, much 
better.

(I'm a Linux guy, unstable software really bugs me.)

If you are running IE6, 
it has some settings that are a problem
with Adobe Acrobat.
Yes, more MS sabotage.  No doubt in my mind.
It became evident with their last "upgrade".

I cannot see the bottom of this /"&)"(& pop-window (with time estimated
for the download) and choose to download or quit or whatever. 
I´m using NS 4.7...
