Re: More Kennyboy quotes

Here's a quote from Ken's filter section. In fact, it is the
first paragraph:

The selection of the proper filter is actually far more important than
any choice of lens or camera.

To be fair, much of what is on his site is interesting. My take is that
KennyBoy cannot be bothered to write an essay in one or two settings.
The site feels like each paragraph on any page was written two months
later than its preceeding paragraphs, and without reading the precedent,
and authored by someone a little hyperactive.

Hell, he might be a nice guy. I do like some of his photos.

He reminds me of Mafud in many ways.

He's not stupid, but he has a predisposition to making blanket statements
and often trivializes aspects of a topic that he knows little about or does
not care to write about.

I often thought, that copy machines may very well be the reason Canan got
the resources to delvelop great cameras.

The same didn't help Minolta much, though.

Pentax perhaps does the same by making endocopes and industrial lenses...

I believe the photographic division of Pentax makes up a vastly much larger
percentage of the company as a whole, compared to Canon.

I may be mistaken, I recall reading that Nikon is owned by Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries.
So while Nikon may not be squandering resources making printers or copiers,
Mitsubishi is certainly squandering their resources making cameras...

That's so you can ride around Mogadishu shooting things and watch yourself

Well, they just keep screwing up what used to be their most popular car
here, the Eclipse, and you can't get the one other actually atractive
car they make, the Lancer Evo, in most places. The plain Lancer is
underpowered, with an engine that's 15 years behind the times (SOHC??)
and the Galant is just plain ugly.

But the best thing they could do is build an Eclipse with 4wd and a
Turbo 4, like the legendary 2nd gen eclipse, instead of the overweight,
fwd 6 cylinder 'sporty' Eclipse they're making now.
