Can anyone in the USA or anywhere else for that matter recommend a decent (ok no wise cracks!) country music station that can be heard online for free? My mrs loves country and would like to be able to listen online now that we are broadband-enabled

Music to hate yourself by? I have always subscribed to the idea that music should make you feel better, not make you want to kill yourself. THANKS. As a result of reading the above post, I now have You don't have to call me darlin, darlin, You never even called me by my name running through my head (I'm sure it has a title, but ... ) It was sometimes called The Perfect Country Song, but its real title was You Never Even Call Me By My Name David Allan Coe Doug Supernaw Written by: Steve Goodman It was all I could do to keep from cryin' Sometimes it seemed so useless to remain But you don't have to call me darlin' darlin' You never even call me by my name. You don't have to call me Waylon Jennings And you don't have to call me Charley Pride And you don't have to call me Merle Haggard anymore Even though you're on my fighting side. And I'll hang around as long as you will let me And I never minded standin' in the rain But you don't have to call me darlin' darlin' You never even call me by my name. Spoken: I was drunk the day my mama got out of prison And I went to pick her up in the rain But before I could get to the station in the pickup truck She got ran over by a damned old train. So I'll hang around as long as you will let me And I never minded standin' in the rain You don't have to call me darlin' darlin' You never even call me Well I wonder why you don't call me... Why don't you ever call me by my name.

Try XM Radio: http://www.xmradio.com/programming/neighborhood.jsp?hood=country XM is one of two nationally broadcast satellite radio services. They each have a ton of choices for programming mostly commercial free for a monthly service fee around ten dollars. XM can apparently be sampled online for free. I love the idea of digital radio but can't justify spending the money since I get radio for free, like to listen to National Public Radio, and have a lot of CDs. If I drove cross country much, it'd be in my car for sure. Music to hate yourself by? I have always subscribed to the idea that music should make you feel better, not make you want to kill yourself. But, as they say, to each his own. (And, no, this is not a wisecrack from my point of view.) -- Cotty wrote: Sorry to waste yet more bandwidth on OT stuff. He sobered up and got his job back too. John Francis wrote: Music to hate yourself by? I have always subscribed to the idea that music should make you feel better, not make you want to kill yourself. So you weren't a big Leonard Cohen fan, then? Did you hear about the guy who played a country music LP backwards? His wife came back, his dog came back, and he got his truck back. -- graywolf http://graywolfphoto.com/graywolf.html

Most commercial broadcast stations have on line (real media or microsoft wmv), streaming output and I've never seen one charge for the, (dubious), pleasure of listening. Try a google search.
