Not only do they have updates, but they use them to add features, not just fix stuff that crops up in user reports. Fuji is pretty good that way. It's like a Toshiba laptop. Well, some models at least. There's no dedicated WiFi switch, there's a, not particularly well marked, keyboard combination to turn WiFi on and off. The documentation is sorely lacking in explaining this. The urge to throw said laptop out a window was nearly overwhelming. If I had to guess, I suppose that the logic might be that if you've selected silent mode, it's because you're in a situation where you have to remain inconspicuous and a flash firing would be a problem, so they're protecting you from yourself. So, since buying my X30 i have been trying to figure out why the pop up flash would not fire, and why i could not access its menu using the flash icon. I have read the manual 4 times, 5 is right out.
