Hehehe. That's funny. Too bad the focus is off. BTW, that is a common
criticism of my work. I am always doing that too. Or my autofocus is. One has to be
really careful with autofocus that it's sharpening the focus on the right
thing. I've had such hit and miss success, that more and more I am convinced that
when doing close-up shots (or when anything in the frame is close-up) that I
will have to switch to manual focus.

Cute, and a very unusual subject.

Well, Steve,

You misjudged the focus.

But only slightly.

Seriously, it's a cool shot. I don't know why, it just is. There's a
certain, I don't know, voyeuristic feel to it. No, that's not it, rather
it's an informality, sort of being where one usually isn't, if you know what
I mean.

Well, of course you know what I mean, you were down there with the camera
shooting, weren't you?

There's a certain nonchalance to the pose that I like.

Interesting comp - I think it works very well.

I'm not sure that I like the desaturation/colouring of the whole thing. But
that's a personal bias that has nothing to do with the actual quality of the
work. I prefer either b&w or colour. I also don't like those ads on TV
that are all b&w except one little colour thing. So, don't take this
paragraph as a criticism as much as an expression of personal bias.

Otherwise, I like it a lot!

cheers,
frank

I don't think this one needs much explanation. :-) Taken with an M50/1.7
on negative film and selectively desaturated in PSP. All comments and
criticisms welcome, but I already know that I misjudged the focus
slightly...

I don't think this one needs much explanation. :-) Taken with an
M50/1.7 on negative film and selectively desaturated in PSP. All
comments and criticisms welcome, but I already know that I misjudged the
focus slightly...
