Better positioned than the K200D, still has some distinct weaknesses
in the buffer. Pentax's inability to do post-processing chain
buffering is once again producing a camera with a shockingly small
buffer. That said, it's better than the Rebel XS and should be priced
a lot more competitively than the K200D was/is.

Most interestingly, it's the the same height as and noticably less
wide than an E-420. The grip is deeper but a E-420 with the 25mm
pancake should be about the same depth overall as a K-m with the DA 40
as the smaller DA lens offsets the mount register difference. The K-M
is smaller in both major dimensions than the D60 and Rebel XS. This is
a VERY compact body and offering in-body IS in the smallest package
yet. Frankly, Pentax now makes the smallest DSLR (I don't consider
depth to matter in this as it's almost always irrelevant once the lens
is mounted).

UI seems very Rebel-influenced. Could be a good thing, as it's not as
busy as the Rebels though.
