Thanks, Bob! And thanks also to everyone else who took a look!
Dependingon lighting conditions the IR camera can just produce a fairly
normal looking B&W image, other times the infrared effect can be very
pronounced.

Steve,

I apologize for taking so long to comment on your photograph. I'm a
bit behind on PESOs. Very nicely done. I love the mood created by
the mist and the tree itself. It's mysterious and inviting all at the
same time. Thanks for sharing!

I didn't get the original either.

I like this one. The lack of detail in the foreground doesn't bother
me. The softness seems to work with the rest of the photo. It's all
misty, grey and mysterious. Detail would just ruin that feeling,
IMHO.

Good shot, Steve!

It is a moody looking pic, looks like it could be s till from a horror/thriller
movie set. I can see the camera moving forward as part of a line search and the
body is discovered just over the crest of the ridge we can see under the
horizontal tree.

Re: PESO: Crooked Tree

For some reason, I never saw the original post. So I'll just comment
on top of the comment. I think the mistiness is rather neat with this
odd shaped tree, kind of gives it a mystique. I would really like to
have the foreground detail brought out some more thought. I think as
it stands, the strength of the subject is somewhat washed out - more
like a silhouette.
