Your right, that is weird, but i like it. My kinda car to.:-) Nice rich colours. Dave B Quoting Paul Stenquist [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I shot a car show today. Among the slightly strange things you see at these shows are dolls. Classic car folks position dolls looking through the grilles of their cars. Why? I don't know. Re: PESO: Slightly Weird
Most interesting. Are the dolls mostly the same size from car to car? It almost seems like they are trying to seed a crowd to form around their car, adoring it. Thanks, Bruce. Yes, the doll are all about the same size. It seems they're most prevalent on the cars of older couples, who are Detroit natives. Someday I'll have to quiz them to see what the motivation might be. Hi Tom, For PhotoNet, you have to do a Save for Web in PhotoShop or Elements to strip the EXIF data. It's a pain in the butt, but I guess it saves them some server space. Other than that you just have to size it appropriately. I go 13 inches on the long side at 72 dpi. Re: PESO: Slightly Weird
Part of the web handling secret is the DA 12-24 lens, which is very sharp. That was the tool used here. But beyond that, I shoot RAW, convert to a Pro Photo colorspace, 144 megabyte 16-bit file (the max interpolation for the PSCS RAW converter). I open in PhotoShop, sharpen at 261%, 1.5 pixel, threshold 11. Save as a Tiff. Then I downsize it to 13 inches on the long side by 72 dpi. I look at it at 100%. If it needs a bit more sharpening, I usually give it another 60%, threshold 11, 1 pixel. This file was not sharpened after downsizing. I then convert the colorspace to SRGB and do a Save for Web. That's about it, with some variations here and there, such as curves adjustments or highlight/shadow fine tuning, as needed.
