Same technical data as before if anyone wants details about the
conversion I'll post separately.

I've tweaked this image as well and put it where the original was. The
details in the covered bridge rafters is much better now.

I'd like to see it in black and white -- or at a different
time of day
subject matter and geometry of the shot very compelling, but
the light sucks
especially for color

shooting this with black and white film I would have slapped
on a red or orange filter.

Was this once a covered bridge?

darker on this machine than on the other. I'm going to tweak this one a
bit before I convert to B&W there's lots more detail in the rafters of
the bridge.

Dunno, Peter. Framing the barn through the covered
bridge is a good idea, but doesn't quite work. Is it
because the frame made by the crossbeam on the bridge
is square and the barn isn't? Might it work better in
B&W?

Is that a covered bridge? I have some pictures somewhere of something
very similar in North Carolina. My pictures are similar to yours, if
my memory serves me. I was not there long enough to be able to pick
the right position, light conditions etc. to make anything more than
an 'I was here' photo, which is what yours feels like. Not sure how
Clint Eastwood made a National Geographic career out of photographing
them...

Hi P.J
I have seen good results with noise reduction software on some of my
landscape shots but seldom on skin.
It simply makes it looking like plastic in the default settings of the
software, maybe reducing its
strength would help. The same is true for your picture despite being not
sharp, the skin does not
look natural to me Would be a nice snapshot otherwise.

greetings
Markus

I'll tell you what I like: the two signs on the cooler door, "slide
to open" and "fresh fruit $3.25". Don't ask me why, I just do.

Oh yeah, her eyes - actually both of their eyes. Canon Girl's looking
at her friend, and friend looking down. Interesting juxtaposition
between the two of them.

Nice capture - too bad it wasn't b&w (I know, I say that too much, but
really, all that colour just detracts from such pure scenes, IMHO).

I like it, despite the lack of focus (perhaps because of? )
