Re: PESO - Toronto's Metrohall
Hi! It could prove interesting... Though recently I noticed that I have a tendency to compose from upper left to lower right... Probably it should mean that I am rather pessimistic person... naaahh, that psychology stuff is pure hype, ask Tom Cruise; Based on your posts I can tell you are a positive kind of guy I did not say negative. Pessimistic is not necessarily negative ;-). Boris

I like it. My only suggestion would be to crop off some of the RH edge to eliminate some of the black. Interesting that you mention it Rick, in the process I end up with 6 versions, and cut it down to two final versions, one showing more detail in the right side; this one looked "punchier" to me, but that's probably because I was comparing one against the other. It could prove interesting... Though recently I noticed that I have a tendency to compose from upper left to lower right... Probably it should mean that I am rather pessimistic person... Anyway - this very interesting natural geometric abstract. I rather like it. Boris

I like it, too, but don't care for the complete loss of detail on the right side. Rick --- Tim Øsleby <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Can't explain why. I see the same as you Rick, it just don't bother me. IMO it makes the picture balance better. Hi Fernado maybe lighten up a bit more the building and use a denoiser for the sky could be an option? greetings Markus >>-Original Message- >>From: Fernando Terrazzino [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >>Sent: Tuesday, March 21, 2006 4:11 AM >>To: pentax-discuss@pdml.net >>Subject: PESO - Toronto's Metrohall >> >> >>I'm still playing with my B&W workflow... >> >>http://www.photo.net/photodb/photo?topic_id=1481&msg_id=00FikD&pho >>to_id=4244005&photo_sel_index=0 >> >>*istDS+FA50mm f/1.4 >>ISO200, f5.6, 1/180 >> >>Shot in RAW, processed with C1 to TIFF, converted to B&W with PSP >>(Channel Mixer & Curves) >>

They (RTH) are clients of ours (small world, eh?). Anyway, that's a really cool photo. I like the geometry, I like the composition, I like the conversion.
