PUG Deadline Approacheth
Looking at Dave the Horsewhisperer's PUG comments reminded me that the deadline for November PUG is arriving on Wednesday, so I thought now would be a good time to see what the theme is, so I can get to printing/scanning/submitting. Red? RED?!? How the hell am I going to do that in black and white? I may have to be inventive here. Or, do something in colour (nah... that would be too easy). What if I submit, say, a photo of a Ferrari, and say it's red in real life, really it is. vbg. cheers, frank -- Sharpness is a bourgeois concept. -Henri Cartier-Bresson

Well, yeah, the only one with the library window in it. I took a couple more of just the alleyway - that was really what I was shooting. The ones with the alleyway alone were pretty boring. I thought the one with the window spiced it up a bit, but as I said on another thread, didn't notice Noelle's head (aside to Ann only: I think I mentioned Noelle to you before... g) until I got the print back. cheers, frank -- Sharpness is a bourgeois concept. -Henri Cartier-Bresson

Definitely. Here's what a night vision scope can do to your backyard shooting: http://www3.sympatico.ca/vdonisa/ir.jpg Mark Roberts wrote: frank theriault [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Red? RED?!? How the hell am I going to do that in black and white? One word Frank: Infra

I haven't seen him in years, but now that I think of it, he was best man at my wedding. Didn't have a Pentax back then. Only photos I have of him other than at the wedding are back when we were teenagers, but those were taken on my old Praktica - no Pentax content, and he wasn't called Red back then anyway g. I did think of looking for those old pix of me and Red (then called Jeff) fishing, but I decided against it. Good thought, though!! g cheers, frank PS: I was thinking of photographing the word red somewhere, but that's too obvious, isn't it? I'll just bite the bullet, and look for a red colour piccie - I must have one somewhere... -ft -- Sharpness is a bourgeois concept. -Henri Cartier-Bresson
Re: PUG Deadline Approacheth.....
Hey Bill, Great, I`m glad you got the warmed up! I just kind of miss Wheatfields promotion of PUG, telling us when the deadline approaches, so I`ll do it (if I remember every month ;) ) Love those Grandfather Mountain pics, and the group shots, make sure you get some group shots for us to see. Steve Larson Redondo Beach, California P.S., it`s not too late to submit folks! Bill Owens wrote: Hey Steve, after several months of no submissions, I got busy the other day and submitted for both May and June. Hopefully I'll have something decent from Grandfather Mountain for July, maybe even a group shot of the PDML'ers who attend :-) Bill KG4LOV [EMAIL PROTECTED] - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
